I'm not totally sure but I guess this is congratulations for winning? That reminds me: muahahaha, I accept your concession, insignificant fools. Well played. I thought several other players had a very good shot at winning up until I got MoM and circumnavigation and Taj without being attacked. Goreripper was in a strong position, Mikehendi was leading the pack all game, and Gavagai/Gaspar/wetbandit all had various things going for them too. If three of these players hadn't been all stuck on the same continent, the game would have looked quite different.

Btw Yuri, it looked to me like you only got about 30 taj failgold. Does that mean we would have beaten you to it even without the engineer?

Seven, I wasn't congratulating you for winning, just for being a good sport in general, and specifically for not minding that you roflostomped a few sock puppets along the way. But, now that you mention it, here's a well-deserved congratulations on a tour de force ass-whipping! Your thread is the one I'm most interested in reading, and have been since you helped retep shed PB16's tragi-comic mortal coil.

Thank you Ichabod you had the worst admin job ever here in the Ocean of Tears but you always tried. As much as we all bitched we never blamed you man.

While this job was definitely thankless I don't think it surpasses the hell we put Mist through in PB7. So at least there's that.

Sorry for being so late to talk here! I hadn't been on RB for a while for, well, reasons, and just now checked in to find this!

Congrats on the game everyone, and especially to Seven for winning, and apparently we had Commodore and maybe a Sulla smurf? I suppose it's not surprising I lost then. Though I wasn't doing hot either way...still, I outlasted two people and didn't technically finish last among the alive people, so that counts for something! (I wonder if I actually could have invaded Egypt)

I think I did better this game than last one. Biggest problem was the fact that I don't think I am properly doing my early game economics right: Despite building cottages I seemed to lag behind all game. I'll need to do more games and really drill in the best way to do that. Also fix city locations. Next game, I think I'll see if I can do more micro: I put a lot more into my first game than this one for example and that really helped. I think I at least have, the last two games, played my turns in a much more timely manner (I did miss some fairly badly but overall I tried to never be the last person to play my turn).

I'll be reading the Lurker Thread soon, hopefully you guys gave me some nice critique, and I wish you all luck on your future games!
