I completely agree with the GJ peace deal. Why not. There will not be any fighting anyway and it gives us breathing space. We should keep that 1 ha there to dart back and forth to see that stack composition.

I see the guilds speed - nice. I guess they might go for a big Numids upgrade. Free combat 1 promo for Knights is pretty nice. Depending on how quickly they go through us they might be able to roll over gavagi too.

I'm not too sure on the usefulness of an attack on dreylin... We will need to build a fair few galleys and a trieme or 2 to transport enough units there. I would prefer to put a lot of effort into a last stand vs GJ and try and show good mettle there.

On that topic, I think we should be ploughing out a lot more catas. They will be useful whatever the stack contains. Almost certainly will target the Knights first and should be able to give us winning odds on them. I think we should accept here that we are going to be wiped out in 15-20 turns and as such not go for any more buildings after this too, and just build as many units as possible!

I looked at the war weary - 3 it was which is nothing. That's like 2 unit kills or a capture. So I think it was an opportunity to steal a few workers or something.

With the forts, you can only chain 2 tiles of forts AND cities over land. So if the tiles I labelled are fitted then we could move from 1 side to the other.

I also think we should spread to the south of HAK, try and stay alive as long as possible and cause GJ hassle with war weary unhappy wink

The unit builds are (partly) to defend the west in case of a Dreylin attack. After that and the forges it's going to be hwacha time. And settler time in SdF to create a secondary empire up there out of reach of GJ's knights for now.

Do you agree with not trying to attack dreylin? I think the amount of naval units we will need coupled with moving units from the GJ border will make it a big gamble...

Yeah you're probably right, 10 turns of preparation is not enough to mount a good attack and then regroup to defend against the inevitable GJ assault.

I think we should revolt to vassalage and HR (or OR), it gives us 10gpt in unit maintenance, extra happiness and shows GJ we have feudalism (which might delay his attack a little).

Thoughts on the revolt ? Nothing new this turn, we're regrowing fast now. Also it seems there's a barb city in the east of the northern peninsula, right on the tile we wanted for our dotmap.

Yes do it. We should be as unappealing to kill as possible smile HR and vassalage away! The barb city is a nice bit of luck, just a bit too late

GJ revolted to caste and theocracy. He'll be getting 5xp units too, and with free c1 for the melee ones.
