[Spoiler] Kaiser has a plan

you should consider suiciding the iron clad and buying a battleship with gold. May not be necessary but may also save you a city.

I didn't check can you still build bombards? if not may be better building buying artillery and keeping what you have.

I can build them when my oil drops low enough, the plan is to build 3, gift oil to Ichabod and build bombards. We can create an Artillery Army and then get again some Oil income to buy another one.

I am wondering if I should save up for Big Ben or upgrade one Artillery though, as the strength difference of 25 between a bombard and a artillery is huge and might be very improtant into making dents into Wodens BSs. Basically the bombard would get 55 + 5 MA + 5 GG + 10 promotion = 75 vs 70 on his BS while the artillery would get 80 + 5MA + 10 Promotion = 95 vs 73.

huge difference there what is the cost? but really you want to be doing it.

that's going to take out 60-80 of his health.

one shot if you suicide the iron clad first. again just an option smile

So do you need an encampment in place or something?

btw you can build and encampment in 3 tile range of CMF capital.

You need the encampment with Military Academy I believe, I was not able to buy them before the MA finished

The Military Academy is an advanced military building in Civilization VI. It is built in the Encampment district and requires an Armory (or one of its replacements).

Effects:
+25% combat experience for all land units trained in this city
Allows faster Corps and Army training

Yeah I was surpised as well when I was able to buy the corps directly after finishing it. Even at a reduced price

Yeah i had seen it before but never understood the mechanic. Shame we can't build one for now at Ruhr city.

Alea iacta est

We lost our bombard corps to combined fire from 2 BS and 1 Sea Dog

Another pillage on my CH, this time one of his coursers is a bit closer but still out of retaliation of Isaacs walls. I started to wonder if can not only use my bridges but also my roads and it looks like he can.

Ichabod took Misty Mountain from Woden, it is currently scheduled to rebel in 15 turns, lets see if Ichabod can counteract on this. I fear the Advance here has to be stalled for the moment as this looks like a decent Ichabod/Woden border and it should be very difficult to continue pushing through this heavy terrain here.

My Artillery is moving to support our coastline instead and we will buy an Artillery Corps next turn in Isaac or an normal Artillery in AK to start fighting back there.

The biggest news is this, CMF hopefully is fed up by Suboptimals peaceful attack on him and wants out of the war. Wish granted, an easy decision as it gives us 5 CS advantage due to our military alliance.
Also in this heroic age we can denounce and declare instantly, so no Canada shenanigans going on. I have not intention of doing so for the moment, but I need to keep my options open. He has 10 turns enforced peace guaranteed.

I decided to go all out on his Navy while trying to slow his incoming Cavalry. The Sea Dog is killed and his BS Armada is down to 60%. My goal here was to flood him with potential targets.
If this is the extend of his Navy up here, then we should loose 1.5 units to the Navy and then probably Another one to his Cavalry which will become very exposed when entering my territory. I think he goes for the valuable FC corps, the PS and tries the Cavalry as well to create break through.

We won the World Congress as Woden and CMF were aligned and my vote alone was powerful enough to stop GA points from accumulating. CMF has now a ~36 turn loyality relief on his cities. Let us see if we can build relations with him somehow, I could really use some wine.

Next turn Natural History finishes, I believe we get the full 40% inspiration overflowed into the next civic. We should be able to finish Radio in time as well, as I am currently holding back our GS to wait for the Eureka coming with our lvl 2 Alliance (next turn) to then get the remaining 2 Eurekas for the Modern era.

you could offer CMF a cultural alliance?

that would be very appealing to him.
