knight count: 18. THH seriously wants to win this game. Now.
...and I fear he's on the best way to do it. Of course we can start whipping out muskets now as well, but they're going to be just a little too late. 5t and we would've been good I suppose. Our only hope is that he somehow decides he prefers Mardoc as a target, or keeps preparing so much time that we have time to set up defenses.

If the knights appear at Hulk next turn, I propose we retreat from the city and just hope we get a chance at catting him.

there's also some boating peril coming towards Emerald. That has me pulling over some (few) troops from the Alhazard border, I just hope he doesn't notice how thin our defenses have become there (has been that way for some turns, since our cavalry went over to the center).

Military in nearly all cities now, next turn muskets everywhere.

It's beginning:


I'm a little tempted to try and defend Hulk, getting a musket the turn after there. Of course it's a trap, note the workers on both staging tiles that can lay roads for incoming knights. With the road he can actually hit Kiwi next turn from one of the tiles W/SW of Childhood's End. Do we sacrifice a chariot to find out? In that case a Walls or spear would be better than musket.
I'll have to see how the odds are for a defending C1 spear with 40% culture against a shock knight.

btw it was very nice of THH to just close borders. With a wardec and teleport his scouting chariots could have harmed our workers N of Kiwi badly

We should evacuate Hulk, which is only useful for the stone, if we keep TOS and Mardoc's knights attack THH from the other side we still have a chance.

Agreed.
It's also a question whether we try to defend Kiwi. It can be hit by an unknown number of knights next turn, but if we lose the city the whole peninsula is falling, and we keep only TOS. A chariot scout could tell us how realistic our chances are.
