Looking back, I made much more of a big deal about that turn that was warranted. So, no need to apologize because your partner was such a control freak. In fact, I think it was ultimately revealed that Elkad could see the 3 Chariots I had sitting in Duquesne long before you even moved that offending Chariot onto the hill.

As far as binary goes, I ended up using it about 95% of the time after the Great Binary Debate. I relapsed for the first time in a while for the turns to get Education, as it made sense to go down to 80% because we had a lot of specialists in play on the 0% turn and could only get Education in 2 at the lower gpt that 80% provided. As I tried to explain earlier, sometimes it was more important for me to guarantee a tech in the alotted amount of turns than to optimize binary research and risk missing it.
But you should still leave this thread with your head held high because one thing I will never do again is park myself at a suboptimum break-even rate like 60-70% (or less) for an entire era.
