I had a look ingame.....
Usual body count on our side, but Gibbon and their entire Mage/Adept stack are in position to get hit with 3 Blinding lights and Revelation on t125.
So on 126 we should be able to muster the forces to knock down the top stack defender(s) with real units, then throw some Spectres to scatter the stack.....and see about doing some mage killin'
Sounds good. I think. Unless they resist, in which case we're screwed
. Sadly I can't think of any way to improve the odds besides just casting with every possible unit.
I think we might want to kill Gibbon's puppet, too, if we have the extra Spectres. Although I'm torn, if their stack isn't well and truly blinded, they'll be able to shred us - I'd really rather have them shred Spectres if possible.
Let me know if you're around tonight, or if you'd rather play tomorrow. I'm going to work on a map for a PBEM that I haven't been nagged (much) about, instead of staring at the tactical situation. But I can at least be a sounding board when you're ready to play.
As for you, Commodore...I'll think about it. The trouble is exactly what you say - huge scale, huge mobility on both sides (I didn't honestly think they could hit Eiswein), so no one tends to have extra energy for reporting after playing. Heck, that's probably the main reason we haven't managed to hit the Wizards again, or hit the Golems in their backlines - not enough energy to plan it. (well, either that or the way Snowfall + puppets causes us to lose military as fast as we build it).
Maybe after I get that map done I'll find some time for some pictures.
