Thoughts on the Map

Wow, this one is crowded. Sadly, I don't think the Khmer have enough land to be competitive, especially if you figure a likely Incan holy city on the border. The only leaders with any backlines at all are Catherine and Justinian, who are my picks to win. I'm thinking they'll end up sharing a religion and beat down everyone else. As for Augustus, Praetorians might have held back one attacker, but he'll be the global worst enemy thanks to peace weight and clashing borders, so he'll have a hopeless multi-front war on his hands very quickly.

Also, does anyone know if the AI actually asks for help or tribute from other AIs who are not its vassals? I haven't played Civ4 in a while, but I don't remember seeing any AI to AI relationship modifiers to that effect, i.e. "+1 You gave us help" or "-2 You refused to give us tribute".

Well, we can always use our average to extrapolate how we would have done if we did every single game.

I have to say that from a cursory inspection of the game, the lack of resources did a lot to make the game play out the way it did. Unfortunately I don't really expect the winner of this to perform nearly as well in the final game but I guess we'll see on that.
