Oh yeah, i had the spear in CPH kill the warrior to finish him off - and i had this sinking feeling that the spear was going to lose at 99.7% too. At least we got a few good celebrity jeapordy references out of it.

Btw, CPH is going to be empty for two turns because of this. If a chariot comes out of the fog...

If Krill sends a chariot out of the fog.... it probably won't be just one.... banghead

I think I know why Azza hasn't accepted peace - he has a workboat coming up from the SW. He probably wants to try and pass through the north and didn't want the enforced peace.

So he'll probably send it north, where we'll likely have the option to kill it with one of the galleys getting whipped out of CL or CJ.

I'd kind of be up for letting him live though, if he goes out of his way to avoid sitting on our seafood.

Though if you feel strongly about wanting to keep him from meeting Commodore, I'd be up for it. I just figure the +diplo modifiers would be good.

But if he sits on our seafood then he's fair game devil Though he doesn't realize our capital is so whipped down it can't really work all his tiles anyways lol

Turn rolled so I checked it out. Our western Sean Connery ended turn next to a Yuri galley - he has an archer on that southwestern island. thumbsup if he settles that way!!! lol Our eastern SC is making good progress but still no contacts

Azza had not moved his workboat yet but I realized he can't sit on top of our fish because it's ocean fish smile

But the big news - no new unit in BB but it did grow to size 2 this turn, so it looks like we made it with 1 turn to spare!!! He'll probably whip it for spite but we should be able to play once he does.

Commodore played, and I was greeted with this screen

Uh..... no

How about this instead?

Borders did pop immediately. It came with the Stele of course and a lighthouse, but no granary frown

I did whip the workboat in OTOF, and moved some other units around.

I'm not sure about this crazy horse settling scheme.... That city is going to be EXPENSIVE, and with no Currency and no GLH and no shrine (any time soon) our economy is going to blow.

With the recapture of BB, our demos are actually back up to somewhat respectable in the non-Krill division (his capital is now size 13 rolleye). I think we're 3rd in food and 4th in GNP. As our economy recovers and if we can limp to Monarchy, we might be able to do something

Also I couldn't decide whether to offer Commodore peace for his WM or just straight up peace.

Next turn we'll have our 2nd ivory up so we can decide if we want to trade for Cyne's horse or see if anyone has any other happies

I'm leaning towards straight up peace. We need to put this war behind us get our economy going. Although i do want to try to take the war to him a bit, i think it's better to wait on that.

About the horses... Yes, it will be expensive, but the alternative is to go without horse units. I suppose we could aim for a faster construction and count on WEs as defense but we lose out on mobility without two movers. Maybe we invest in a large navy to counter that and try to use the seas to increase unit mobility?

How do we suggest to Commodore that he needs to ge raiding Krill, not us?

Yeah straight up peace sounds good.

As for getting Commodore to sic Krill I don't know. Probably renaming one of our units "Attack Krill" and putting it up to the border is out? lol

Even things like gifting him an archer or missionary is out, with no OB.

I even tossed around gifting Commodore copper but I'm just worried about him using that copper to build units to attack us (though I suspect he must have metal himself)

We do also need to decide whether we whip the galley in Church Lady.

It's currently at 6 happy with 4 pop and 4 whip unhappies (lol)
If we whip it will have 6 happy and 2 pop and 5 whip unhappies, for another 5-6 turns. I'm leaning towards doing it and overflowing it to worker / settler.

I think we need the boats. But after that we need to find a way arund all that stacked unhappiness. Either building workers/settlers, getting a library and running scientists, or getting to monarchy.

We need to have boats in the water to prevent a second sneak attack from Commodore. Likewise our wb may be best used to scope out krill and have a little early warning against boat attacks on BB
