As my train leaves in 7 hours, I have to go to bed and need an extension of 5 hours to make my turn (hopefully the wifi works on the train).

Having played on German trains before, I'll repeat my suggestion to use a mobile hotspot (unless you're travelling Vorpomeranian wastes without coverage).  it costs next to no data smile !

The Internet worked surprisingly well both on the regional train and on the ICE. This is probably because CIV requires little bandwidth. For work, the Internet hardly works at all. I have also used mobile hotspot several times.
