Darrell's navy expands. I chatted with darrell for a bit - he has suggested it is to discourage invasion rather than to instigate it - he's focussing on economy too (and he's top of the scoreboard).

Yeah, not too long a nap though. Or an indefinite one with a reasonable cooldown.

Oh and Investment should work farms or hills instead of coast.
I have to run.

No farms to work so I was just trying to grow it as quickly as possible.

Quote:Hey Shoot

Long time no chat.

We've been discussing an NAP with darrell but he has mentioned that we would have to also agree it with you too. There is no sense in us both building military while the rest focus on infrastructure. What are your thoughts?

His is presumably the big GNP (confirmed on graph).

In the SE, I double-whipped a market in Flooded Market (it can grow into a second specialist or the riverside cottage next turn), and plan to do so in Trading Post as soon as it is possible (it is at its happy and health caps).

Here is the new arrangement for Investment, which will grow into a third specialist next turn.

In the north, I have sent a missionary to Cash Cow, which has produced a longbow which is been sent south for defence (it can continue to build its own defenders). As you will see, I switched research to a 1-turn Construction. A longbow heads for the waiting galley to help reinforce the south coast (Flooded Market is only defended by a chariot).

In the west, I whipped a library in Net Borrowing - it will then be able to work specialists when it grows, rather than unimproved grassland. A worker is on its way in the galley to help with irrigation.

Pyramid Scheme will complete the missionary next but won't be able to start another one just yet, since Gold Rush is building one and one is en route. So perhaps a barracks, or do you want to build a courthouse? A Great Person will be born next turn so that may influence things.

Civics update. We're in Rep, Bureau, Slavery, Mercantilism and OR. A nice full set!

All our opponents are in HR and Slavery, with darrell in Vassalage, and darrell and rego in OR.

I ended turn to discover that a Great Scientist was born in Pyramid Scheme - perhaps an Academy there since its our second best science producer and has some cottageable tiles. We get a bonus religion spread too, all the way over to Financial Trap.

Or we could sell the GS to someone for a GP...
