[Spoilers] REM and AdrienIer's thread of football, spamming and blaming it on the mod

If their only reason for refusing peace is that our desire to sign it after two proposals on their sides shows we fear them, they'd be showing bad sportsmanship. I assume they saw some opportunity from your moves. Or want payback for the numid for some obscure reason.

I trust you with the military stuff, and if you want to keep playing the turns we'll probably resist longer

I didn't actually move any other units though. As I said the MCG forces are kinda stuck in the city and I can't get them out otherwise the stack will be destroyed on the flat. There's very little I can do with them currently. They can't reinforce easily but that stack is powerful.

This actually reminds me of that game we played on the two sides where you had Ivory and I didn't. If you had marched past my front into my back lines like this it would have caused me a much bigger headache than trying to destroy my stack in the front city.

Ok. We are in full survival mode. Whipping pretty much everywhere. GJ is advancing slowly - I thought he would move to be able to hit RB next turn. We will lose it anyway whenever, but whipped out a scout to use as a healer for MCG. Not sure whether to leave the longbow in there or not. I also note that he only has the numid as a healer - I want to try and kill it with some knights to have them struggle to heal up.

They are being very systematic and razing all the roads. I would have attempted to move back onto the road network with the knights with some pike cover except for that new stack coming... We actually have odds on them with the pikes. Thus I think that keeping the pikes back with the knights to waste that stack is a good idea. If he doesn't put a mace on that stack he is in trouble, but he probably will. Otherwise MCG will probably be safe for a fair while more.

No combat seen this turn - you have any suggestions at all? MY begging was successful. DZ and Gavagi both gifted us iron. DZ wanted Silver for gold and spices but I refused as we already have gold, and it is our last silver. I felt bad but we don't really need many friends anymore :P

How bad is the situation for the capital ?
Having friends is nice and all but DZ is too far away to matter. Gavagai is much better but he's in a three way with HAK and DZ himself so no help. A Gawdzak sneak attack would be great but I don't see that coming soon. His Imp trait is useless to him now (of course it got him where he is now so it was a good choice), he's going to play with spi against orgs and fins I don't know how he intends to stay competitive. Probably not by attacking the (probably) first in power.

Ah should have screenshots the west. 4 Knights, 5ish pikes from upgraded warriors and a couple of longbows. We are gonna really struggle to hold our own when astro comes in 3 turns though. I have emptied the other cities to bolster the cap :/

We should be careful about Camp Nou, the 2 silvers are important to our trades and the cap in itself isn't that great of a city. But I don't have the numbers so maybe the cap is really more important to keep than CN.

True. It is useful. But the cap is on an easier to attack site and a hill so easier to defend so the unit can stand there then move as needed. Also I forgot to mention GJ declared on furngy again, which puts the peace offer in perspective a bit. I'm of the mind now to let the war just continue on to the end - I think the most we will hurt him is with a protracted war and war weary tbf.

They offered peace. If it's white peace it's worth it for us, not necessarily if they want gold. But you'll be playing the war turns so your choice (I can't play the turn anytime soon anyway)

Just an FYI I did not take the peace (wanted 500 gold). When I am next at the laptop I will show you all what happened but that Northern stack is no more. Some unfortunate losses but overall not too bad. Think we will struggle to keep the cap, even with a whipping frenzy that I'm doing.

Ok. Good to hear we're being annoying.
