Greenline was running Mercantilism, wso when I took Mining Corp HQ, it counted as foreign and all his cities lost the corporation, not to mention the loss of 300 gpt from that city. Time to set all espionage spending onto Aetryn.

I think I've spent 5,000 gold or so upgrading units for this. But I absendmindedly up[graded 6 pikes to infantry before doing city raider 2, very unfortunate (before this battle)
Next nice thing is I have some longbows and crossbows which can be upgraded to guerilla 2 machine guns

Shit 5000g? Intense. What's the path forward? Are you planning to stop or kill greenlane off? What about after?

No idea right now, tbh. Might as well swing around and capture the other greenline city that I have troops next to, if I can. But I might have to commit forces to my Aetryn border now that Greenline and I lost a lot of troops.
I should probably finally stop drafting units, which I've been doing constantly since adopting nationalism. And maybe I should stop upgrading units - after a couple guerilla 2 machineguns.

It's possible that I have enough land to scale on par with aetryn now. Maybe now I need to make factories and spread corporations. Or maybe i need to go for the kill vs. greenline, but it's painful...

Actually maybe it was more like 10,000 gold on upgrading units, it's been 1,000 on upgrading units a turn for quite a while...

I think the next question is whether I can defend myself against tanks, by the time Aetryn gets tanks

So, that was all the cannons and about 40 other losses? Was the outcome ever in doubt after the first collateral rolls?

For future historians of this glorious battle: Bing did all the serious vodka work himself. I merely made a quick and dirty sketch that turned out to be completely wrong because this battle swings wildly on very narrow edges. Due to all the machine guns and drill units if the attack fails the defender barely loses anything. A few more strong defending units or 10% more fortification would have turned this from a painful victory into a complete desaster.

I got 4 net unhappiness in many core cities whose populations are already reduced from drafting. War weariness hit was huge, up to 9 in the capital, which didn't have a jail (just made one). I had already been drafting about as far as happiness allowed. Also I foolishly cancelled a bunch of old trade deals with aetryn last night without checking what they were (just assumed they were obsolete).

Offered Greeline a peace treaty because getting rid of that WW is more useful than slowly taking more cities, especially since the other city on the border with him will soon border Aetryn too )
might swing around the units I have sieging there back over to the left side of Greenline. Maybe after taking and razing it, not sure.

It's possible I should even go attack Xist...
