Hey guys, just a heads up, I'll not be able to join you for the next 2 weeks, but I'll be sure to catch my ele up before week 4 of LoL.

Tuesday was loads of fun, though. Thanks guys for letting all the alliance in on this RB variant. wink

Yay, Wyrm! I just read your writeups, and they were most excellent, capturing the absurd spirit of the enterprise in pithy fashion. nod thumbsup

I'll volunteer to do next week's, at least for the team I end up on.

What are our goals for the next session? Are we going to all do the "get a secondary profession" training quests together, or should we do that individually beforehand?

I don't remember how long it takes to get through Jokanur Diggings with all the quests in between, so if we can't get through that in the time we have, then we should try to at least get up to that point.

I thought all the "side-quests" were on us to do, so I completed any quest I could find before completing the Primary Quest "Secondary Training".

I think the only requirements to do Jokanur is having Melonni and having obtained the first sunspear rank.

I can never remember the order of the quests, so I wasn't sure if we needed to beat "The Honorable General" first.

And yeah, side quests are your own responsibility, but the secondary profession quest is primary... but there's even less to that than there is for the Factions one (seriously, just talk to one master, you don't even need to learn skills from them since you get them all automatically when you make your coice) so I guess it doesn't matter either way. People should do "Command Training" on their own since it requires you to bring a hero, which will have us either in pairs or groups of 3 with 1 hero doing everything, which would be pretty boring.

I just want to clarify: We do sidequests on our own?

Yes. thumbsup

I got started a little late. I have no idea what the earlier group got up to but I think I heard them mention of having to try and defeat Morgahn's team a couple of times? So I assumed when someone saidt getting up to Jokanur, its getting up to the mission portion and not just access to the outpost.

So that would be (primary quests...also I forgot the quest names so I'll just briefly describe them)
1. Leaving a Legacy (after choosing a secondary profession). Killing the Skree in the rock quarry, which then takes you to Jokanur and adds Dunkoro to your party.
2. Go to the Astralarium, enter Zhelon and fight General Morghan's recruits.
3. Meet with Melonni in Zhelon reach, go look at the stone wall, get a cutscene and enter Jokanur yet again. This adds Melonni to the party and opens up the Jokanur mission.

So my LoL is awaiting the Jokanur mission. She's completed most of the quests except some in Zhelon reach and all of the Master quests.

Just an addendum to the rule about side quests. While the evening meetings are to progress the story, there are quite a few side quests directly along the path of the primary, so if the group wants to do those on the way that's fine. Just remember that we usually only have about 2 1/2 hours per week to advance the story together and I'd rather not wind up wasting a portion of that just to track down a quest whose reward serves little purpose (extra exp and gold are hardly needed and sunspear points are easy enough to come by if you grab the bounties).

That's where the other team left off as well.

You know... the more I think about it, the more I want to go back and re-write the rules to disallow preorder items. I think I might make a few inquiries about that one.

I would not be in favor of that change. I am highly unlikely to make another Dervish character, so I would not have another opportunity to use my nifty pre-order scythe.

However, if the majority wants to go that route, I will retire my Dervish from LoL, and possibly make another character of a different class for the team.

I'd rather leave the pre-order items available. They are decent enough but certainly not uber and we will definitely find equally good or better swag along the way. They just make it less hassle to equip heroes, mainly.
