[Spoilers] Lurker Thread - No Players!

Wow novice, that is impressive. That helps me make some changes. I'm going to work on it now... So further suggestions are welcome. I'm leaning towards nerfing Dazed and Yuris's start (and changing Krill's happy situation), and then I'll look at the land changes.

Ok, I haven't touched land distribution or anything, but I changed all the starts. I wanted to drop this post in here about the starts and see what you guys thought and if you think they are ready to go:


China:
1. Changed plains hill to grass hill to eliminate plains hill start
2. Moved fish 1W to avoid triple food start

Inca:
1. Swapped the horse with a fur that was just east of the start
2. Deleted whale

Russia
1. Upgraded plains forest deer to grass forest deer
2. Moved crabs 1W so that he can't get 3 food in the start

Germany
1. Downgraded starts gold to gems (grassland gold is craziness)
2. Moved corn onto river to allow for irrigation
3. moved fish out of range of the start, replacing it with grass cow
4. Changed grass forest hill to plains forest flatland with a fur

Greece
1. Upgraded forest plains deer to grass forest deer
2. moved corn 1sw of the capital so it can be improved 1t quicker like the others

Alright, those are the capitals. Let me know what you all think about these... Also, are all those colors accurate on that mapping novice made? Is purple = red on that map?

Better yet, novice, can you tell me which color maps to which player? I can't actually tell all that easily.

Darrell set up each player to have access to one precious metal, now you've given TT two (gold and gems). Also, the corn was moved away from where you moved it so that he couldn't move to get three food resources (which he would be able to see due to his warrior's location). If you want to irrigate the corn you can add a land tile west of the iron.

Good call. The one metal each thing is nice, but not all metals are equal... I went ahead and gave him silver, and I think what I'll do is sprinkle a few golds across the map, making them not necessarily close to the starts, but each player should have one reachable if they prioritize it. Anyways, here's the updated start:

Alright, proposed land fixes. I'm going to attach the WBSave, so novice, if you don't mind running it through your thing and seeing how it looks? I made two minor changes to the land, but I expect it to have an impact on the results. Changelog with some screenshots:

Germany
1. Added a few random foods in sparse spots (they had the least amount of food)
2. Upgraded some plains to grass to help out some food-poor locations

Inca/China/Greece land skew (Inca has the least, China/Greece have a lot)

First, I added a northern land bridge:

Because if you notice on here:

Red (China) has that weird finger of land that goes way down... That's because no one else can touch it. This land bridge makes that land contestable by Inca. Basically I added about 6 grassland tiles to converge the two, then I added the clam, cow, forest, and a hill and called it good. This should have a pretty dramatic impact on the land distribution as Inca has the option of getting into here, where they didn't have that before. I also added a south landbridge for Inca:

This lets Inca fight with Greece over land instead of all this land open to Greece. Basically, Inca wasn't in that bad a shape for land IF they were given access to some land, rather than adding land in the water... So in this area, I added the landbridge, river, and plains cow, and I think I deleted a whale that was in the way.


Thoughts on these two? And novice, can you run this through your tool and/or send the tool to me to do it? Here's the WBSave:
