The tracker is just sending emails. You send the save, via email, to the tracker email address - so no extra work or hassle for you over sending it via email to the next player. All it means is that as well there's a webpage which says who has the save, how long they've had it, which turn it is, and provides a link to download the save (in case of some email glitch/accidental deletion/whatever).

You can ignore the webpage side of it entirely if you don't care smile

In theory, you just email your save to the tracker and your next opponent.
That way, everyone else can see where the game currently stands and can plan their day ahead accordingly.

checking it out...

When I end turn (either by red button or <enter>), a dialogue box shows up talking about SMTP settings. I click 'ok' and I see "Paused by Ottobots" on my screen. Ad-hoc is seeing same thing?

-paused if I set a password or not
-paused if I change my name or not
-keyboard 'pause' button does nothing

I'm certain that I'm sending the correct file, name: "RB-PBEM25g_BC-4000_to_Pericles"

Edit: I tried resending without password...

You should be able to set a password so we can't open your turn by mistake if sent to us by mistake.

I will need to check when I get my turn but I think you may have to put a password for your smtp address when using the in game email, I'm sure i mentioned in an earlier post about how temperamental it can be.

I loaded the save and it came up with "Peter, it's your turn"

Did you end turn before sending me the file?
