Werewolf 13: Lurker Thread [No Live Players]

@Selrahc : great job with the code clues - I definitely brain cramped on what you were trying to do. I tried a few times to decode using the skip code, but unless I get the spacing right, 3 isn't a valid skip parameter (because the text length is a factor). Even the short one you posted doesnt work with 3 as a skip factor. Its difficult when a space at the end or beginning can screw things up.

I'm really enjoying how Scooter was considered really innocent and elected Mayor and now we have people going after his head. lol

Ah no. You're right... posting it to the forums from my notes messes with the formatting, which messes with the skip. duh

That is very annoying. I guess the other wolves didn't break the code then. Unless they're pretty crackerjack at codebreaking.

DONT PANIC is the best piece of advice there. There were several people more lynchworthy than you. But I know, every piece of suspicion against you when youre wolf becomes another imaginary stone around your furry neck, while as a villager, since they were so obviously wrong, they are shrugged off afterwards.

Quote:Molach, did you know that the wolves knew about the silverblood? And waterbat, did you know that the silverblood knew that you knew about him? And Molach, did you know that the wolves knew that you knew about you knowing that they knew about the silverblood? (and let's do another 4-5 of those)

If I just answer 'no' to the first I think we're cool. So I was simply doing my best to get nightkilled, by being active and villagerish. And mabye this:
Molach Wrote:Have some things to say but can wait for light of day.
helped, that was a deliberate invitation to be eaten. Also Meiz posted that I was sounding village. But as some live player said, it was ultimately suspecting waterbat which must have weighed in the most.

I (unhumbly) take Uberfish's comment to mean the Selrahc death, he was in grave danger of being mislynched. I agree that appears very stupid and newbieish, and I do not think new guys to WW would fail to see that as well. So it would seem they did crack the cypher, which in my mind means exactly the opposite than weak, newbie kills. Check out the 'really cryptic puzzles' thread and see who is very good at figuring ...really cryptic puzzles here.

I know there were better players than me who got unkilled, but they have higher risk of being protected or watched, and there was the ichabod-meiz-zakalwe love triangle which might be resolved with a (mis?)lynch later so makes sense to wait a night to kill them. Hitting middle-me and hoping other pack went for a high-risk target is sensible play.

I did think that my role could have been even more devastating near the end-game, but there were mislynches to think about and a first day wolf kill is a good start. Not being able to claim was worrysome, so I just tried to get eaten as soon as possible while avoiding mislynch or roleclaim-pressure at all costs.

Now for 25 posts about what 'tall' and 'beta' means.

Not too sore for dying, will be fun to lurk.

I have to admit, both you and Selrahc did well to attract nightkills. Because you're right, having a dead wolf already ought to really help the village.

And yes, I agree, if Selrahc's code is broken publicly, zakalwe and novice are in for a world of hurt. Even if they're villagers wink.

Thanks a lot, Molach - makes me feel much better smile I did think you wouldnt get much attention at night which seemed safer than hitting the other guys. I also had this secret hope you'd turn up wolf! Also - I expected bigger pressure on one of my packmates on Day 2, so i figured the fact that you accused me would be the lesser of our worries. In fact, I wanted to take some heat from him if I could. But, in the end, like my initial reaction during the day to being accused, your eye on me had something to do with it!

Also to you lurkers , dead, and future dead:

I know I played "dumb noob" for a while, but my first post contained this:

Quote:Is there anything in addition to the "reveals" that we can learn from the flavorful starting posts. I noted the part about "turned them too soon". Is it possible that villagers could be converted to wolves in the days ahead? Does that break WW games?

And you all ignored it!

I hope there is some villager conversions in store for this game - that would be sweet vindication for me. In fact, Llewyn, if there are not any in store, edit some in when you get the chance.

Lesse then. What is todays quiz? Who will get lynched? And is he guilty or not?

thestick reached 8 votes at peak yesterday, but is forgotten today.

scooter is drawing attention now, but think he is innocent and therefore will stave off the assault with honesty and logic.

So I say Erick the Red, due to his being perceived as not posting new theories and rather opportunistic leaping on bandwagons, will feel deaths cold embrace in the form of the village noose. But he will fail to turn furry.

And trying to figure if Zakalwe is a wolf or no. Coming second in lead hunter election (Repost: Do you have elections in India? Yes, evely morning) is a very good result for grabbing the slot later on in the game, when it really matters. Wolves can win a day early if they have mayor if the numbers add up. Hm or one wolf team can.

By the way, for a long-range quiz I still think wolves are gonna win this.

Erick is good to hang. I mean - jumping on the scooter bandwagon like that?

well, im spoiled on some wolf knowledge, but I also think that either one of the wolf packs will win or the wolf packs will draw

wow, im just starting to realize some of the really interesting scenarios in play with the way powers are balanced. I think you've done a great job from what I know so far, Llewyn.

I was expecting 25 pages on "Tall" and "Beta" myself - maybe we'll still get them by day's end.
