So in a way, I suppose I did inadvertently kickstart your crazy train that lead to Meiz dominating.

Meiz was already dominating when this war started. His capital had twice jowies capitals pop and 3 times the hammer output from Azza (gold and science Azza was close to his capital). He was already several techs ahead. This war did speed up his victory but was not the reason for it.

I think Azza left that site late because he had an ivory elsewhere. Nevertheless, any kind of city there was intolerable, because it would be a direct threat to his interests. Close borders are a Damocles sword hanging over your head.

I had ivory under my capital and in Mother Sky, settling a 3rd source wasn't a massive priority. As I said in my thread, I never bothered/got around to settling a 4th city because without a unique resource to claim it wasn't a high priority.
