Post here when you leave and when i should start play.

Thanks dude any help is great. I'm away from now.

My main micro was to use the two workers on copper to first put two turns of mining into the forested hill by the copper city, then move and cottage on each of flood plains tiles on the way to the pigs. The settler should finish in the copper city having worked the forest hill for two turn for 13 overflow which will round down to 8. The settler moves to settle north east of the pigs. The workers can then start improving the pigs the turn the city is settled, after cottage and move across the flood plains finishing 1 cottage going back to the forest grass hill. Meanwhile the copper city should start a lighthouse that should finish in 4 turns , then start the GLH. The chop and mine on the hill should finish t69 I think to hopefully complete the GLH. The worker pasturing the cows should road towards the Ivory then camp when the borders pop soon. The worker next to the sheep should improve it then cottage.

For the other cities I was going to concentrate on granaries and more workers, finishing the spear in the cap feeing up a warrior to send to the new pig city. Maybe another spear somewhere.

For tech finish sailing, save on mask art, tech masonary then save and finish writing trying to maximise overflow because writing isn't crucial and we get 1.4 multiplier.

TLDR: finish GLH asap, tech accordingly, settle pigs, build cottages, hook up Ivory as soon as borders pop.

Looking forward I was trying to keep build commerce then settle next to horses by the capital without crashing the tech rate on the way to currency. Putting some more mines down and building some chariots for security.

Sorry for the wall of text. Follow it at your own leisure, your discretion is better than my planning anyway lol so do what you want.

That's cool man, do you think I should build the GLH in the capital now? I see you started a lighthouse there.

Sorry about the lack of reporting, this is a busy time of year for me.

I lost the GLH by 1 turn. Maximizing the hurt as I have now chopped all the forests and my economy is sluggish. Wondering what to do to get the economy back on track. Should I hold off on settling for a while?

Currently trying to tech currency ASAP while settling cheap cities where I can. I'm feeling a behind the curve but luckily Dreylin seems so too. Grimace has settled for silver and gold giving him great GDP but they are both food-less plants. I'm ahead in crop yield of both but 3rd overall. Not got time for a proper report, but I'm going to try to do one in the next few days.

As you can see I'm planning to settle some more cities to coincide with currency. Not sure what my tech goal after that it is. I've been toying with IW -> Construction because the next ring of cities will be ridden with jungle and I think cats would be a useful deterrent while I continue to expand. On that note is seems I have loads of expanding still to do.

Other plans include calander -> IW for the max economy possible (I have gems stuck under jungle) and Construction -> HBR for some unprovoked violence.

I am also considering the pyramids. A plan where I tech COL and pop my great prophet as a golden age to revolt to rep and caste. I have some good high food cities but little river grassland and without FIN working coast seems like a losing proposition. Is around t103 too late for mids? I also am not very experienced with golden ages having never actually used one myself but I get the idea you should have max pop as possible, build infrastructure and generate max great people. I read somewhere to not have your first golden age till you have at least 100 pop. Does this sound right?

Summary: Too late for 'mids?
