0 whips at T60? Isn't that a little low?

Yeah it is but keep in mind that cap was making 17 fhpt for 6 turn settlers and the 2nd city is making 10 fhpt for 6 turn workers, which is faster than making a settler and worker every 10 turns with the whip cycle, and I am having my cities work only improved tiles when possible. The real downside is that I am not growing on to cottages, which is a real problem but just not a lot of cottagable land out there yet. The commerce from sheep helps (insert AH joke here.) Hence the rush for the gems and gold, and the bulb math and slingshot currency gambit. Even if I don't get the oracle, I am heading to priesthood just to get zigs and 3 whip them in my cities.

Although from demo hacking, I been noticing that both DTG and Commodore have been whipping their cities aggressively and maybe this is a hole in my game?

Maybe whipping now is not the most efficient, but I would definitely whip out (if possible) the first few Settlers/Workers to get the snowball rolling faster.

I won a game here and i dint whip at all till turn 70, 80 - whiping is not always the key for succes. Actualy i win more then one playing like that.

I avoided going directly to Bob's borders until I can ask for OB because I dont want to signal any hostile intentions. If he denies it I am seriously thinking about walking it back because in the sims, I had a lot barb problems from the rear.

On subject of whipping, DTG and Commodore are just insane and I would really like to know their rationale for this. Commodore I can understand because his cities get 2 happy right now but DTG's capital must be full of angry people. I am giving the most conservative estimates so far so if they 2 whip a city but it grows back next turn, I am still going to say it is a 1 whip because I really dont know.

T34: 1 slave cap, 4 to 3
T44: 1 slave cap, 4 to 3
T52: 2 slave cap, 5 to 3
T57, 3 slave cap, 6 to 3
T60, 2 slave 2nd city, 5 to 3

Maybe the warrior death will give us back 1 gpt on unit expenses. Also I think the next build in the cap should be a spearman.



I thought Comm was to my West but it is DTG! I need to rush these sites even more. I was thinking of growing the border city to 5 while building a vulture than double whipping a settler, but I think I need to double whip from 4 to 2.















I can get routes with DTG next turn but I do want to?

whipping 4->2: Cities on T72, 84, and 91
whipping 5->3: Cities on T74, 84, and 93 (assuming there isn't a barb city I can capture on the 3 food city).

Well the implications are that I probably have 0 chance of beating DTG to the fish and sheep city closer to him, so I need to ask myself I want to risk it and send a settling party early protected by 1 warrior or 2 if I bring the scouting warrior back. I probably have to settle the 2nd city on the southern tundra hill use the sheep as food since it is likely to be a front city.

That DTG city looks like an ICTR city to me. Offered OB to both DTG and Bob. There was no global population change so looks like DTG 1 whipped a satellite city and grew the cap to 4 and researched a T1 tech? Also the logical explanation for AT's score increase is a Classical tech which is really scary because due to the huge global power spike, I cannot rule out HBR.

In addition: I will have to 1 whip a spear in cap on T65 so I dont die to Bob's chariot and I cut down on settling the sheep corn city with a vulture escort down to T73.
