This rule was nice addition:

Rule:
- No pillaging Railroads
But unfortunately the barbs are obviousy not following it. ![frown frown](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif) No pics, but I've seen at least 2 parts of railroad pillaged.
Also the Spid from last turn apparently thought that it wasn't worth attacking me. However when I moved away I found another (!) Giant Spider just two tiles away. Good luck to plako/Dave for settling here without extra settler guarding!

Ah. Well that's annoying.

Here are the nasty barbs pillaging railroads
Found plako and my scout might die next turn. Notice also the signs for 2 spiders nearby!
Graphs of everyone.
Demos T40.
Plako has dangerously high prod but of course he is trying to maximize that with EXP. But add that to the same amount of food than me - that's pretty scary. He is lagging behind in GNP obviously. He most likely has Mining already.

Plako didn't attack me, guess he didn't want to build up early grudges between our civs? I would've understood it perfectly though. Here I see a Wolf Pack of his.

We're back on track again!
Declared on plako to move through his territory, offered Cease Fire immediately. I hope he doesn't mind that. He can kill my scout if he's pissed by my actions but then he might lose one beastman/wolf.
Copper in a... eh, nice location I guess? Now I don't mind missing the Fish earlier because I'd have orphaned it anyway with this Copper location. Anyway, in general I hate it when map is such that to grab one resource you have to settle on another!
Anyway, I'll grab it with a city NE of Copper or with alternative spot 1N of the other one.

Haha, yeah, that Fish Or Copper situation wasn't intentional. My bad!

Lost CIII Bloodpet to a C1 Griffon.
Managed to clean up with my warrior though. I'm going to delay settling 2nd city a bit untill I get another warrior out. No need to risk a settler when the delay will only be 2-3 turns. No Giant Spids there but there might be Griffon(s) in the fog + any barbarian warriors that spawn. Still, they delay sucks.
The good news on the other side of the world: plako accepted the cease fire. The bad news: my scout has found some trouble again, that's the 3rd (!!) Giant Spider on his journey. Will the 3rd time be the end of his time? Come on... just survive this one ![please please](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/please.gif) .
Actually, I don't mind that much if the scout dies - that is for the fact that then there will be a CII Giant Spider making plako's life more annoying.

The scout died.
Settled my 3rd city on T48. Dave also got his 3rd city surprisingly fast, in fact he got it even faster than me. But he can't have 4 workers like I do. Still, pretty quickly done there. For a moment it looks like Mardoc is falling a back a little, yeah elves are slow but still. Plako's GNP is no longer in the toilet but he had a huuuge spike recently. He must've improved some good commerce tiles on the same turn. I'm still leading in the GNP and we're tied in Food with plako.
Currently researching Education and considering going for CoL right away. Other option would be BW for jungle clean-up + stronger units. But I don't feel the danger just quite yet. Philosophy is also on my list same with Fishing + Sailing (there seem to be some juicy islands around). I'd really like to test Slavery with this map, my capital has +16 food surplus which means growing back wouldn't take very long (actually only 1-2 turns). There would be quite a lot of cities in the south (and also north) that have tons of riverside grassland but absolutely no hammers anywhere. The problem is that if I go for CoL already I really don't want to keep whipping aristofarms + then they don't give me that much food anyway unless I grab Sanitation.
So what are the other reasonable options besides CoL? Maybe shot at Drama? Who could compete with me besides plako? Dave maybe but I haven't seen him try to grab Drama bard in any of his games, that doesn't really mean anything though. Hmm, decisions decisions... I still have 4 turns to decide before Education is finished.
I also made a good use of Bounty Hunter promotion and promoted my Hunter in the middle. That's one promotion that you'd almost never take (unless there are no other promos left), but in this case it's the best promotion I can give that guy.

Actually a decent idea could be to tech Philosophy and CoL. Revolt to Slavery and whip those juicy GMs. I don't have very many good production sites yet so hmm... But I don't need those hammers so much just yet. Instead I'll grab BW first, there are bunch of nice resources under jungle atm. I am running Sage next turn in my 2nd city which should give me GS in 12 turns. Maybe GA: depending on the situation at that moment, or at least could be good for saving turn revolting to Slavery and whip hard for GMs - and then revolt out of Slavery on the last turn of GA to get to Aristocracy/Apprenticeship). Or maybe Academy in capital, with aristofarms that would bring a lot of commerce.
I think I like the Slavery idea just because I have never played it that way. Though there's one HUGE drawback, usually when in GA you don't want to whip your tiles away ![lol lol](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif) . Hmm, well we'll see, I'm not sure yet what to do. If I have enough cities GA might be way to go, but i'll try to evaluate the situation once the GS is born. I can't get BW + Philo + CoL in 13 turns, that's for sure, but I won't be too far away from that.
Anyway, someone got Education before me (not sure who, maybe plako?). Or it could be Mardoc actually too. Someone also got BW recently. I believe that's Dave. I hope that's not plako. If it is then he does not have education.
Production graph shows something interesting.
I believe Marodc has Copper mined, makes sense for him to focus on hammers obviously with EXP.
Everyone is up to 3 cities now. My 4th is coming within 3-4 turns.

Settler is out and ready to settle my 4th city on T56. That's all good... except that plako just settled his 5th city and Mardoc also is up to 4 cities, he was just slow to get that EXP up and running with mines + slow workers. Me and Dave are still at 3 cities for now.
My Bounty Hunter Hunter (hey, that's funny!) is making some money. That Sentry promotion was probably a mistake, now the warriors can't spawn that close in the south. Oh well.
Demos from T54.
