Rifling in 5! AT has it next turn, and I see TBW getting ready to finish off his former empire.

Need to start building up a proper privateer fleet to counter sea-based incursions and focus TBW's invasion down the narrow chokepoint where I can collateral it to death.

The whip starts in 5 turns.

screenie from a few turns ago. slowly researching music to get culture out in the border city. Otherwise, saving gold for upgrade.

Golden age will pop in 7 turns unless i get another great spy, which will make me very angry.

Golden age will be used to switch into vassalage and pump out as many rifles and privateers with hammers as possible before whipping my cities into the ground.

Really the only thing I can accomplish is forcing TBW to take such a long time preparing that he gets eaten up by OH.

Frankly, I should have whipped a giant stack 40 turns ago before TBW started dumping espionage into me and gone in full steam ahead, wiping out 2-3 cities and placing myself as a thorn in his side. Maybe OH wouls have joined in?
Maybe he still will.....

I wish AT would surprise attack me and knock me out of the game already damn it. This is not fun at this point. I could've attacked AT so many times and had my fun.

Maybe I should sim an attack on TBW, because I am frankly not 100% sure he can beat my stack as it stands currently, especially if i do a 5 turn whip barrage after my golden age with grenadiers and cannons.

Golden Age Popped. Steel in 5 turns, then a quick detour to theology, then I will slowly research the two techs I need for railroad. If TBW doesn't invade me in time to stop me from getting railroad, I will be supremely disappointed.



My cities are surrounded by plains and low-yield tiles, I simply could not compete unless I had done better in the settling race. I should've either gone for AT's stuff more aggressively, or taken pindi's island far earlier. However, the key mistake is poor dotmapping early game, compounded by what really was a shit-for-food map for me, with tons of fish that had to be orphaned in the south.

Thankfully, the recent 5 cities on those remote islands are coming online and one of them is now on rifleman duty.

In other bad news, AT looks like he is putting more units on my other border, and pindi is amassing a few ships "in secret".
I can do a lot of damage to TBW, but I can do almost no damage to three opponents at once.

TBW also has a large stack of cavs in reserve, but they are not promoted enough to scare me, especially with the 25% mounted defense. Worse is the fact TBW has a great artist and can take those tiles despite me pumping out culture. SAD!

I need someone like OH to start a war against the medium guys, because I am the smallest fish left in the sea now that DS is gone and my turn is clearly next.

Massing some troops on AT's border. I have my island cities (including Moai) building rifles and the excess caravels are all preparing an invasion. I think AT will be distracting finishing off DS and confronting OH. If I see a war dec, I will move in immediately. Hopefully, pindicator gets distracted by commodore or gavagai or whoever his neighbor is. Then, with a few extra cities from AT, I can focus solely on TBW.
