@Kaiser
I do think we need a choice from you in a thread, or did you send one per pm?

I should have been more precise, it will start to slow Down tomorrow, I am still on an exhibition and will get back late tonight.
I will start my thread this weekend, so far I did not have time to reflect on my possible choices but will send something to the map maker by tomorrow

1) Each player gets rolled 3-4 options, and either locks one in or chooses to re-roll.
2) Everyone who chose to re-rolls gets another random set (including those that were thrown back in round one) and picks one to play.
Just to clarify, do I include all the non-used civilizations or just the ones not initially in the groups plus the ones from people who requested a re-roll?
For example:
Player 1 got A, B, C, & D and selected B
Player 2 got E, F, G, & H and wants a re-roll
Initially not give were I, J, K , & L
For Player 2 re-roll, do I use all but B or do I select from E, F, G, H, I, J, K, & L?
Also, map is about 80% complete. Should have something up for comments this weekend (most likely tomorrow).

Just to make sure I am working of the right assumptions, this is the rule set agreed on so far, correct? I have added some suggestions or points were I am actually unsure about the agreement for the game.
Map settings
- Continents or Pangea
- CS located without freshwater but with the possibility to access it later with aquaeduct
- city state diffculty unknown (suggestion deity to make early attacks on them harder)
- size tbd by mapmaker
Bans:
- VA
- Scythia
- Hungary (Yeah, I gotta agree there)
- Maori (makes a map very whacky)
- Religious Settlements Pantheon
- No pillaging CS except for farms and fishing
- Nan Madol?
Common sense:
- No tactical DoWs on Australia
- No tactical DoWs by Persia? (declaring on somebody else because the target has already declared on Persia before to avoid the movement bonus)
- City States can be attacked but a war declaration against the suzerain is necessary if there is any
CIV picking
- do I have to pick from the 4 given civs or do we use the picking scheme suggested by Woden?
- in any case my pick is in my thread

Come to think of it what disaster level setting are we using?

Woden, re-roll all but B. One weakness here compared to the previous times this was used for Civ 4 is that the initial options were posed directly to threads rather than the common tech thread so that people couldn’t identify who/what was picked in the first round. Too late for that now but I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. ... actually you could re-roll a bogus set even for the players who already made a selection. Then we wouldn’t know what civs were picked vs just randomly excluded from the re-roll.
Also make sure that no player gets any of the same options in round 2 that they previously rolled in round 1

I would suggest that unchosen civs are put in the random pool, but that you can't roll one of the civs from the pool you tossed back a second time in a row - so here, Player 2's reroll would be chosen from A, C, D, I, J, K, L.

Will do this....And still waiting on a few to make final decisions, so will do it when everybody has made a decision.

I like making city states harder to capture, because I think they're more interesting alive than as free barb cities. So I'm for putting them on deity.
