[spoilers] The 49ers: Sanctimony and Public Defecation

Do the HAs from the quest each spawn from a city with a stable, or do they all appear at the capital? The in-game documentation is a bit vague.

I'm pretty sure you get a big stack at your capital but I'm not 100%, I think the last game I played where I got that quest was 3-4 years ago.

It's either capital, or the city that completed the last stable. On that subject:

Seven cities. Somehow. Just need to keep them all *this turn*.

In other news: Autopromote is now forgiven. Medicgate is surpassed by SHOCK this time.

Did you know? Every single production queue has to finish up before a completed quest resolves. It's very interesting. Also, heartburn.

It's nice. The best thing about this quest is that I was absolutely going to be building tons of stables here anyway. Boadicea in a map this size was never going to be waiting for Machinery. Kids, horse archers are hella good units and we're going to live in a horseback riding place for a long, long time. Eight HA now, eleven next turn. Imma get me a holy city.

Demos tell the story of a man who has given up on researching stuff. Given how utterly shambolic my start's been I have no idea how I'm tied for tops in city count, and given how heavily I'm whipping I have no idea what the deal is with MFG/CY. Still, this is I think a viable-enough base to win from.

Now I just need to figure out how I can conquer the world.

It was actually the first stable built, which...upon reflection, completely makes sense.

This is going to be extremely tight. Three spears, three axes, a Combat 1 scout...need to take a shot at scratching this spear outside of the walls.

Withdrew, noice. Spear is now at 3.5, which makes my sims wonky, but it'll help. Mostly, I think the thing is we can't see even more reinforcements.

Yesssss. I suckered Migeulito's spear out; he won but the spear got trashed in the exchange.

Dicey stuff. My sims said I'd have axe, archer, and five horse archers remaining, and Migeulito would have three mauled real units plus his scout. Hey lookit:

No matter. I'll happily trade that poor whipping post for a holy city that cuts me off from all land access for all time. Auto-promote did okay, mostly just going for combat-line promotions. I'll take it.
