[SPOILERS]A new adventure of Vanrober always guided by chumchu

Flanking damage was reduced so that a small number of mounted units couldnt just flank away a whole stack of siege. Now you need enough mounted that it doesnt "really" matter if they do flanking as the siege will likely be defending anyway

I didnt mean to kill the cats.

But if i would have killed the praet and damage a catapult it would mean 1 unit less killed in his atack and less collateral dmg since that cat would have been damaged.

But sadly the HA died with 70% odds

Im sure Charriu can correct me if im wrong, but im fairly sure a damaged cat still does the "same" amount of collateral damage it just does less to whatever was defending.

I thought that if the cat has less HP it would have less atacks into my defense so it would make less collateral. That was my reasoning, but as you already saw, im a bit lost in all this xD

Alas I have been summoned.

Yes, Superdeath is right. The game always uses the full strength of the unit for the collateral damage calculation. Interestingly the same goes for the unit defending against collateral damage.

well thats really nice to know. thanks both of you!!!

But getting a bit deeper on it. Does it depends somehow of how many times the cat hit the other unit? I thought it does and that was the importance of drill on cats. In case it does, i guess there is more odds for the catapult to hit several times as less life it has left.

In case it doesnt work like that, why is drill used on cats?

No, the combat between the cat against a unit and the cat applying collateral damage are two completly separate calculations.

I think people use drill on cats to increase survivability. But then again other promotions can be better for that like City Raider.

Also it's not the first time you are right about something, Superdeath, and most likely not the last time.
