I've given my defence. I don't think any new arguments have shown up. So I really would be just repeating what I'd said. Great for getting into niggling little debates about nothing, rubbish for productive discussions.
And given that I can't honestly recall Rowain or Novice defending themselves overly much either, it kind of feels like you're just annoyed I didn't respond to you.
No, I'm not annoyed at all. Well, not so much as you think, and certainly not specific to me. I'm more disappointed, in general, that you haven't brought more discussion forth - on much of anything. I understand what you're saying - I even agree, to a certain extent - but that doesn't change my suspicion of you.
Honestly, I'm ASKING you to change my mind here. If you feel that confident in your defense, though, I'm not going to berate you nor punish you for it. You're far more experienced than I am, so maybe your strategy is ultimately better. I'm sticking with my vote, unless something comes along to change my mind.

It's still balls, regardless of whether it's naive or not - and yes, I agree 100% it's naive. You can be naive and ballsy, you know - look in the mirror.

Well I'm heading out now, so I'll not be able to do any of that.
We'll see if it was a good enough defence. I basically just don't like getting locked into endless repetition and niggling. It's both distracting and stifling to other discussion.

Touche!
Though I'm not naive enough to not realize I could be completely wrong. I just go at it even though I DO know I could be completely wrong. So balls, just balls.

Well, I understand that completely. That's why I tried to avoid the same arguments others were making, because frankly I wasn't buying it much more than you were - and the people doing the accusing weren't helping their case any, either.
Oh well. As I said, I'm not confident in my vote for you, but I'm more confident in voting for you than I am anyone else right now. I guess we'll find out soon enough if it's a mistake or not.

Assuming Serdoa's previous tally was correct:
Lynch:
7v: Rowain (Pocketbeetle, novice, Meiz, Selrahc, zakalwe, Serdoa, JKaen)
7v: Selrahc ( Ichabod, uberfish, Irgy, Bruindane, Gold ergo sum, scooter, Roland )
5v: Pocketbeetle ( Rowain, Lewwyn, Mardoc, Fire & Ice, Cull )
2v: novice ( Mr Nice Guy, sandover)
55 minutes remaining.
I have to run.

I've tried to understand, but I don't get it. It's not that I have a negative read on pocketbeetle's accusation, but that I have such a positive read on Rowain.
I had a rambling thought about novice that I snipped earlier, but I thought about who would would self vote for mayor, I thought to myself it would be neat if I the seer/fool got elected as the other seer/fool would scan them early. Now obviously we have the old mayor candidates at each other's throat, but my thought process applies to both.
One reason I am voting for Selrahc, the other candidate in these final hours is that he can't possibly be the fool, baner or a mason, so it's a a better vote based on pure statistics.

Roland Wrote:Ok, not to sound harsh here, but it truly does seem naive of you to assume that almost the entire 'Wolf team would so blatantly work together - on Day 1!!! - when it's so much more likely that it's a coincidence of Villagers, or Villagers and a 'Wolf, happening to line up.
Seriously, you have numerous people telling you this is the biggest, most basic screw-up ANY 'Wolf could do. Frankly, I think they're relying on that received wisdom - the perfect thing for a Wolf to do is whatever everyone believes a wolf would never do, after all. And they don't have to fool everyone, just enough people for long enough.
Roland Wrote:To suggest, on your first game, that 80% of the 'Wolf team is that incompetent is either naive (my bet), or outright arrogant - and you do not strike me as arrogant. I wouldn't keep bringing this up if it wasn't such a flawed display of "logic", or if you took the time to step out of your own worldview and see just how fragile your entire theory truly is. Even you've stated that if one part fails, the whole thing comes crashing down - yet you still feel confident in your position? That's balls, man.
On the contrary, I think that one part failing wrecking my whole theory is the best kind of theory - I don't have to get to end game to convince myself I'm wrong, if I am; on the other hand, if I'm right, then it makes valuable predictions. The instant we find a wolf not in my target list, or a villager in it, I get to start over with a fresh approach. I currently don't think that'll happen, but I acknowledge that a day and a half of evidence isn't much.
The worst kind of theory is one that can always be explained away and adjusted without actually changing your mind on anything.

What does he do that seems positive to you?
Genuine question.
