Why? I think if I was a wolf, I might well advise Qg to play up an angle of being a "weird" poster, who tend to be unlynchable while also not being expected to contribute a lot.

It might give us a pointer towards inactive/inexperienced wolves? If he flips wolf.

waterbat Wrote:But uberfish - you don't find the fact that the mattimeo wagon grew so quickly odd? If he's a wolf, it was all jittery villagers? It was weirdly timed attempts at future cover? Don't you think we can find some scum in those voters?
Well I'm voting TT aren't I - see my post #414 for wagon analysis.
Ducking in quick. Did a lot of skimming, so I hope I got the gist of things.
Was just looking at our lurkers. If Gaspar is correct in that we have a lot of village noise I figure a wolf may be there. I'm wary of Molach - he did lurk to a win in WW14. But RL stuff comes up, so I would like to see more from him.
Cross-post: looks like novice is thinking something similar with Selrahc.

When it comes to him I am getting this feeling of someone who is quickly hopping from place to place.
His mayor votes are an example and he seems quick to jump elsewhere as soon as a current target defends themselves.
I don't like it, but I'm not sure if its a new mafia trying to stir the pot a bit too obviously, or just a bit of a clueless villager
Merovech Wrote:I have not yet changed my vote today.
First day Merovech was Tasunke - pindicator - thestick (long) then jumped to Bigger late because 'he started to suspect thestick might be innocent' after the claims. And today he has been on Sareln all day - after stating he is obvscum in the night. So not reading this as hopping around, once he found someone he has stuck tight.
His act of making the thestick -> bigger switch is obviously remains suspicious.
Sareln, long defense there. Also worried about the landslide in votes (at least last votecount, not sure what score is now). Sareln sure makes an easy target, worst voting record and rep for lurking. Content of post is nothing special, though (I made honest villager mistakes). Switch to mattimeo without much reason, following pindicators vote. Also switch to bigger over thestick with 14 minutes to go.
Pindicator - Went for Mattimeo early, gave reasons to do so. And near lynchtime went for merovech (not wanting to vote thestick and 'not convinced' on case on bigger). At that point there were 10 minutes left and 3 more votes on bigger needed, so unclear what he would gain as a mafia with that switch.
Uberfish & Catwalk - what do people think of switching to Bigger with 4 and 2 minutes to go? Looks so obvious that hard to think mafia would out themselves like this. Can they even both be mafia? If not then it is probably a crosspost, so the mafia would not know that the villager would make the switch. Last game I made a horrible "too obvious for wolf" reasoning that saved a wolf from certain lynch, but not sure what to make of this. If thestick was saved, it is no guarantee he would have ended up on the block tomorrow, but if he down the line had turned wolf it would have backfired for the end-game.
Pushing against mattimeo I think is a bit more what wolves typically would do, that was in a more reasonable timeframe.
Need to hit bed, at least I have more time tomorrow, have some other people who need attention then. Main aim for tomorrow should be to hang the most suspicious of the wrong-voters.
uberfish Wrote:??? but that's my point. Thestick only put Matt down as mildly suspicious, it wasn't exactly a strong attack. And putting someone in a mildly suspicious list leaves Thestick a lot of room to switch votes later. So, I wanted to find out why you ruled it out as a possible distancing interaction. After all, there might be something important I missed. Really not sure why you think I was discrediting you.
Ok, I probably overreacted a bit and didn't take into account that your posting style almost always sounds agressive.
I also admit that I didn't read all the context in that post by thestick. I'm going to reread it later, because I was probably to fast in clearing Mattimeo due to that.
Perhaps its presumptuous of me but I highly doubt an organized mafia lets thestick get hung so easily. I don't have any other info if that's what you're asking.
I dunno... I've said before my stuff doesn't work so hot early on. I've had 2 "tells" I picked up this game, the ad nauseum repeated Injera/Catwalk interaction and Ichabod's oddly antagonistic tone. Both are me relying on my perceptions of their respective personalities. So that's where my votes and focus have been. Given that pretty much nobody else has agreed with any of that, either I suck even worse than I thought at explaining myself or I'm just missing something.
I will say that the TT and Selrahc jumping on Mattimeo makes me think maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt - they're both tinfoil hat-ty and even Rowain seems relatively sane so far.
I'll switch gears and go with novice's hunch:
Selrahc
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

My first thought after doing the count is that a lot of scattered votes leaves us open to mafia manipulation.
Total of 26 players, from game balance perspective with a crowd this big maybe a total number of Mafia is 6 or 7 (23% or 27% respectively).
