Civ 6 Release and Update Discussion Thread

I discovered a pretty serious combat bug in the latest patch (not sure whether or not it was present in a previous patch). I don't know what the proper channels are for reporting bugs, but I think this is serious enough to report if someone could point me in the right direction.

Situation: Enemy archer with Garrison promo (+10 combat while occupying district) is adjacent to my city, standing on a forest tile.
Bug: When attacking the enemy archer from inside my city, the enemy archer is getting the +10 combat bonus. When I attack from a tile outside my city, the enemy archer does not get the +10 combat bonus. The archer is erroneously getting the combat bonus based on MY unit attacking FROM a district, not from garrisoning a district.

I can't post screenshots of the situation since this is from Epic 4, however I will post just the combat previews. After playing my actual moves on this turn, I reloaded to the autosave from the start of the turn and tried a couple different attacks. I can confirm that this is NOT just an interface bug, the actual combat results are affected (significantly less damage is actually inflicted when attacking with the same unit from inside the city versus moving a tile outside the city.

This bug is not new. If you look at PBEM2, I had the same issue with TheArchduke's crossbows facing my city. They got the +10 as well, applied wrongly

What is new though and irritatingly so, even when you have a decisive victory at hand, it will now display 'major victory' only

I think that as of the latest patch, double great generals with overlapping era influence stack the movement bonus but NOT the combat bonus. Has anyone else noticed this? (i.e. first two GG give combined 4 movement to crossbow but only +5 attack bonus)

That's the dumbest thing ever if that is true and again proves that Beach does not understand movement.

Just wanted to say hi, and that i really enjoyed reading all the comments from the first 2 Civ6 PPEM games!  I stumbled on this site after looking for Sulla's recent exploits, since i watched many of his Let's Play videos for Civ4 in the past.  Like him i skipped over Civ5, so this site has been helpful.  I still can't get a handle on the snowball curve, (or i'm just too into micro to stick with it), but i definitely learned a lot from reading through those games.

Do you ever use mods with the PBEM games?  I really like the 'No Free First Encounter Envoy' mod in particular.  With so much attention paid in the PBEM games to who met a city state first, it seems like it would be fairer to just mod that out.

Another thing that is either a bug or a documentation failure is that the ranged units' promotion to fire twice if the unit has not moved is actually just a promotion that lets you fire twice. As long as you have movement to start firing, you can fire a second time if there is a target in range.

All these bugs and we don't have an RBMod yet? Color me surprised. lol

Another definitely-a-bug that I've confirmed after seeing it a couple times: if any of your siege units gets the Expert Crew promotion, they can all fire after moving.

That must be some very particular programming that causes that to happen, since most promos don't have that glitch. Does it matter which siege unit gets it? Like, maybe they only check the first stored siege unit i.e. the oldest one when determining if you can move and fire.
Surprise! Turns out I'm a girl!

This may be a matter of poorly-updated text than bugginess. The Spring 2017 patch changed things so that siege units can always attack after moving but require more than one remaining MP to do so (and Expert Crew lets them attack even with 1MP or less left). Are your tests being done in the presence of roads, generals, or the Logistics policy card?
