WW11 - Civilization

I've read all but page 70.

Ichabod seems to be angry. I don't think that would happen if he where a wolf.

Lewwyn hates catwalk. lol If one reads lewwyn's posts one feels his rage so it is strange that catwalk is attacking him and not doing something else. Do you think it plausible guys to think lewwyn is faking his anger/postings-- remember he is being specific in his postings.

Rowain strange request for starting tech names is pretty bad. I think it clearly makes no sense as there are no "evil" techs in civ4 expect for maybe the nuke techs but even those are not so bad. Also if the idea is to guess abilities from start techs that is useless. Jkaen's tech did not match his ability at all and it is unlikely that he is special.

I have just realized Gaspar that the metagame issue is moot if you say metagame is profile camping. Using the green dot is profile camping and I doubt the wolfs would be silly enough to give out information that is caused by casual browsing though this thread.

MJW, if I had to bet, I'd say your tech's Nationalism. Opposed to Divine Right, fits Napoleon well, would be another way to argue that "No, I am the legitimate ruler of France", etc. etc. And since you've already confessed to your power...

Scooter's still pinging in my ears. He's been too strong in advocating on behalf of people, and too rarely against them. Something just isn't sitting right. I just wish I hadn't showed up after that mini-push against him died off. Day 1 Catwalk seemed to be doing this as well, and I've not seen anything Day 2 to change that judgment, so given the choices being offered, I'm going to cast my vote against Catwalk.

Welcome back. You obivously read the thread if you read my random post. lol This is some good reasoning aganist catwalk, no comment if you guessed my tech right. Now off to page 70! lol

With less than 3h left, I'd like to state that I have a powerful role (and a villager one, at that) which I'd much prefer not revealing yet. Hanging me would be a very bad outcome for the town. I'm sorry if I've seemed wolfish today, I honestly don't understand the suspicions. Regardless, you'll regret it if you hang me.

Tasunke, I'm still interested in hearing the details of your ability. Ichabod, I withdrew my suspicion of zakalwe. You're the one who argued that I was all set on him. It was a minor suspicion that I was interested in investigating, and I don't think pursuing it led anywhere. I don't find anything dubious in agreeing with an argument made by a player whose alignment I don't know, at a time that I don't know anyone's alignment. For the record, I don't have a strong suspicion of you either and I'd listen to have any suspicions you have if you have decent arguments for them. What's your case against Gaspar?

Rowain, I agree with what you're saying and of course abilities are different. I just wanted to point out that taken out of context, your statement made no sense. That could either be a wolf wanting information, or (more likely) a slight mistake by a villager (or a wolf, for that matter). I still think we should wait with tech reveals, preferrably until we hit the first NAPster. Chances are we'll be able to infer something from that, making us able to determine whether to reveal or not. I don't think we'll be able to learn anything in the next 3h letting us determine who to lynch, so I'd rather wait at least until tomorrow.

Cyneheard, are you seriously saying you're voting for me because I'm advocating on behalf of people rather than against them? I think Lewwyn might disagree with that lol

MJW, if your tech is pure flavour I don't understand your reluctance to reveal it. Since there is a relation between you and Jkaen (not to mention identical abilities), it might be useful information to us.

Selrahc, I think it is common practice in WW games to ask questions of people and insist on getting answers. If someone fails or refuses to answer questions, that makes me highly suspicious of him. As for "demanding" certain behaviour, I don't think it's unusual to suggest that certain actions are pro-town. Such as arriving at lynch conclusions in a timely manner to possibly diminish last minute confusion and panic.

I'm thinking if you seriously believe this then you haven't read much of what I've been writing. Either that or you're just regurgitating what others have said. I've already debunked this. Just read this:

Yeah he's slippery. I'm up for another attempt though.

I have to run.

I halfway think you should just tell us at this point. You're pretty much a lock for a night kill now unless we have a baner, so is there any harm in just saying what you are? Wolves know all they need to know (target Catwalk), so might as well fill us villagers in on info that's more valuable to us than wolves. Wait til other people agree with me before telling because I want to make sure there's no downside I'm missing here.

reasons I think ppl are voting for Catwalk

Selrahc: wolf

Lewwyn: Fued with Catwalk (regardless of alignment)

Slowcheetah: likely wolf, backing up Lewwyn (either to gain favor, or to support a fellow wolf

mardoc: ???

So I think Lewwyn's pretty neutral right now (50/50), although his analysis of Mardoc was a bit strange. I wonder if there is some connection between the two?

While Slowcheetah *might* be a wolf, and I think Selrahc is likely just a wolf trying to push to vote on an innocent.

@Catwalk, if indeed wolves are targetting you (which I can't be 100% sure of, but via my current methods I think is the case), then I think I agree with Scooter that its possible you will get Nightkilled.

However! If its something that you couldn't even use, say, today or tomorrow ... it might be worth it to keep the wolfies guessing. (perhaps?)

Unless it's necessary to avoid hanging, I don't see the benefit in revealing now. I might reveal during the night anticipating a night kill. And in a 17 player game, I'm willing to gamble on there being a baner somewhere, possibly in a limited version. Between the temptation of killing a power role and the risk of having a kill prevented, I think my chances of surviving at least one more day are decent enough. And if I survive the night, it's definitely to our advantage that the wolves don't know what my role is.

Tasunke, the game tends to be more subtle than that. Wolves don't generally band together in public (far too obvious), and there can be big differences in who they want to try to hang and who they want to kill at night. They will often be opposites, in fact. It makes more sense to target a weak villager during the day and a strong villager during the night. I've just gone from a weak villager (widely suspected and generally ignored) to semi-strong villager (possessing a strong role that might mess with the NAP if I hit right). It might have been a mistake to make this claim, but it seems likely that I wouldn't survive today without it.

Dont claim.
If you know what I mean.
