Again not really much changing these last few turns. I did take that barb city to the SW that popped up - it hit size 2 so we could keep it. Despite Having 75-80% odds with the knights I lost 2... frown ah well.

Realised why our tech rate is crawling, we have no overseas routes now with all the blockades. So our 7ish gold routes our now 1 gold internal routes. Also just realised that a GS will bulb edu not astro - not the usual tech path that I would follow! Ah well, not quite sure what to do with him now.

GJ has rifles in a turn. He hasn't moved on us but it is looking pretty grim now. He has a GS and a GP ready, I assume for a GA to draft?

In worldwide news Gavagi is now at war with DZ. All getting pretty crazy :P

It really looks like we're fighting a 2v1 war against GJ and the RNG...

Just thinking here, would we be close to grens if we had gone directly for them instead of astro ?

If he's not stupid he'll keep the GP for the shrine. Not so many ways you can pop a GP without risks.

Hmm. We would need chem and mil science... I think we would be 10-15 turns away like astro, as even though both of them are cheaper than astro I think they are a lot more expensive than compass or optics. But rough guess.

What news on the game ? Still being blockaded by GJ ? What kind of army is he amassing at the border ?

I'm watching the women's six nations France-Wales tonight, sure the physical aspect of the game isn't the same but it's still good rugby. And France is playing well, unlike their male counterparts.

Game is pretty much stagnant. No change at all. Still blockaded. Still no overseas routes. He has a few rifles now on the border and is now first in score, although Gavagi is using redcoats to great effect v Donovan zoi medieval units. I'm not sure if he will try to land the rifles or just SOD them... A few galleons have travelled back but he won't get value for them landing them. He is probably better with a SOD with all the cata he has.

Actually I may struggle to play this weekend so would be good if you could do the turns.

Haha I wouldn't even know where to watch the women's game here - certainly would not be on in the pub! Perhaps it would be like on the on demand services or something... You don't really get female sport on the tv here.

French TV has made an effort this past few years (under pressure from the government) to show at least the national team's games, plus a few choice championship games in football, and now in rugby as well. But it's also because the national football team is one of the best in the world, and the rugby one is heading for a second grand slam in a row (only team with 3 wins) plus world cum semi final last year. Last night there were >10k fans in the stadium in a remote town in southern France, female sports are really growing.

Should I play the turn now then ? I noticed that Plako joined the fun on Donovan, poor guy I'll try to lift his spirits in PB25.

Gavagi took like 5 cities last turn. They are mostly old HAK cities so little culture and he can run around and cap them quickly. Yeah if you could play now that would be good smile

Is it just wealth builds in most cities ? Or should I build more muskets ? We've really scared GJ hard, he should have attacked by now but he's waiting for cannons... I hope it costs him the game (our shrine would be huge if he had it) but looking at his food output he's probably going to win this anyway. Unless someone attacks his completely defenseless backlines, which someone should have done by now. I sent a world map exchange offer to Gawdzak, I hope he understands the meaning.
