So you know the exe file that lets you play pitboss ever since game spy shut down? You just go to the internet tab and play like you used to on game spy, only more stable.

There’s a steam group of the active players, but I usually just get contacted by people on discord and they ask me to join.

Declared war on boak and took 3 cities:

I've lost a few rifles and 3 trebs, but the capture gold and cities will definitely be worth it, this also frees up a space for a little city. Gashbears took 3 cities from boak in one turn in a surprise attack. Boak will probably be out of the game before juri

As well as power

Attempting to take what should be the main prize of this war, an amazing island city that will give me another intercontinental trade route, immediately giving me something like 60 extra commerce from trade routes alone, at least.

Special images for RB forum because you can't see badgame threads:

In terms of plans, I decided to get steam power for levees, which will boost production in key cities, and then pivoted to a quick scientific method grab. No one is going for physics, so if I pop a golden age in 5 turns, I should be able to quickly grab the free great scientist and pivot towards railroad, after which I'll go for assembly line after the golden age ends. A 12-turn golden age at this stage of the game should prove extremely powerful.

Update for the lurkers:
Here's my most recent conquest from Boak, a coveted island city. This will give me a good deal bit more trade route commerce when anarchy is over. It took a significant amount of resource investment to capture, however, i lost something like 10 rifles over a span of 5 turns? Didn't commit enough troops fast enough.

2 turns to factories (idk why it says 3 there, just look at the bar in the previous image). After that, taking biology and physics, before moving onto artillery. I need destroyers and uranium to deal with any naval threats. With the absurd amount of Krill naval XP, I can get 4 promos on destroyers.

Demos looking solid. MFG is sliding as I exit my recent golden age and borsche is the first to get factories online. However, railroad + a timely switch into state property has kept me afloat. I'll spam factories in 2 turns, which should boost me to borsche's level.

Gashbears was the first to get railroad and has created a nasty defense that I have no way to pierce, except by invading his capital from the sea. However, I do not want to antagonize someone who recently decided to forgo a good opportunity to attack me and split boak lands with me.

Here's the border with borsche. As you see, he's upgraded some infantry, but I have MG's at the ready. No siege there either.

Not sure what bingo is doing. I'm planning to message him about creating a DMZ.

The former lands of boak have largely been taken over by borsche, about half, the rest being split by me and gash. unfortunately, juri decided to burn some of the cities i conquered, which left a bit of an open zone towards gash. I have 2 cities I need to settle south of my own. Conquering the island was probably the second biggest prize I could've hoped to get from attacking boak. Borsche got the capital of course.

Gashbears is performing a ritual of some sort with ironclads.

Late game turns suck btw. an hour or so for two turns... Have to micro every city's specialists, because the AI things spies are a good idea.

Right now, borsche seems unstoppable, but at the same time, of all his borders, the one he has with me is the smallest, so i really hope he goes after bingo next.

You're going to micro city specialists?

Borsche will get tanks very soon - 6 turns. I should have artillery a turn or two after that (physics in 2, 1 turn gold saving, arty in 3-4), so I'll be spamming massed anti-tank to prepare against his hordes. Then again, I feel he and TBW are more likely to carve out bingo.

My MFG is half of TBW's cocaine inspired lumbermill + railroads + factories + golden age + environmentalism combo. And about 1.5 times smaller than borsche, who has the lead on factories. But once I get factories of my own, along with coal plants, I should be able to outproduce either of them with at least 4 cities that can 1-turn infantry.

I'll try to do a situation report next turn or so...

But the rundown is this:

I am first to nukes, and have 5 ICBM's already, with many more on the way. TBW has a massive doom stack, which is very scary. Borsche has plateaued, with no hopes of doing any better than he is, so TBW is now once again the favorite to win with all of Juri's lands. If Jrui hadn't fucking screwed me overby burning random Boak cities, I'd be in a better shape right now.

Tech-wise, I am not lagging behind too hard, I've filled in a bunch of techs like combustion and plowing directly to modern armor.

Any advise on future era combat? I have plenty of units in border cities to defend against marines with march, and a few sams to counter gunships. It just seems very hard to defend...

Maybe I should just end this game rapidly by going all out on nuking TBW and seeing where things go from there.
