[Sucksatciv] First time playing Pitboss

I'm super sorry for not posting these last two months. this semester has been stressful and for relaxation I would rather play singleplayer than strategize for these longform MP games. Since my last update, not too much has changed, I'm still blocked in on eight cities, although my economy is looking up and I am up to almost two hundred beakers. I'm still not keeping up with MJMD, Cornflakes, or Superdeath, but I've gotten currency, monarchy, and am going feudalism now. The thing that worries me most is that it looks like Bing is going to die, in that case I will likely be the weakest civ and my neighbors will target me. With hilled longbows I should be able to turtle up and delay, my goal for this game really is not to win, but to survive to the end. Of course, Superdeath isn't that far away from cataphracts either so I might die to him once he gets those rolling. I'd have to tech to engineering to stop cataphracts.

I'm finally done with school so now I can devote more time to civ (both single and multiplayer) Anyways, here are screenshots of my position and tech tree: how can we prolong my survival as long as possible?

To update, I managed to get longbows, but forgot to switch into vassalage so I have five one promotion longbows. I'm the weakest target now that cornflakes is dead, so I'm turtling up and making sure that I can survive as long as possible. My southern cities are well-defended, but Superdeath could break them if he shows up with a big stack of cataphracts, which is why I'm focusing my defensive measures there. If I manage to get to engineering then that will slow Superdeath down and make him bleed a little before he manages to get in. In regards to my other neighbors, Mjmd and Cornflakes are fighting, so I have less defenses on that side, what I do have is a longbow, some archers and spears so I can't get pillaged by lone chariots. In the east I have a lot of outdated troops guarding the one city I took from Bing and these will delay Pindicator, he doesn't have that great of economy, so the scariest thing I think he has is catapults so I'm making walls and then will hopefully one day bring longbow reinforcements to slow him down.

I might actually be dead now, my army is out of position in the east because I thought Superdeath's cataphracts would be the big threat.

I logged in and whipped your two forges to completion for the sake of turnpace.

Mjmd got cocky with an Impi far ahead of the army, so I popped it with an axe. Longbows being whipped.

Mjmd offers peace, after taking two of the remaining three cities. My understanding is that SaC's goal in this game was to stay alive as long as possible, so I take the peace to further that goal, even if it means more logging in to hit end turn for me.

Current "plan" is to limp to construction while building another 2 LBs, then swap to catapults. Maybe we can even source some iron for War Elephants?

Bonus tech overview, should give you an indication of where everyone stands.

I accepted Mjmds offer of Open Borders only because SaC had accepted earlier offers.

Superdeath left Longbow God on the border undefended, so we recaptured it. Unfortunately not a liberation and it's culture is 93% Byzantine, so it's impossible to defend.

First catapult completes EoT.
