[Spoiler] Returning to Randomness: Thoth plays a happy, hippie builder game

Well, that sucked.

Lost another two spears at 68 and 62ish % odds. Leaves 5 keshiks alive, 3 slightly injured. So SD will likely burn Rough Cuts on his next turn.

I should be able to clean up the rest of his stack in a turn or two if the RNG stops screwing with me. Then it's time to shift to the offensive and start taking cities. (plus build a replacement settler for RC)

Pindicator DoWed me this turn, but I don't see any sign of his army?

I sent him a ceasefire, if he wants to lock in a 10t peace treaty I'm fine with that as well.

It cost me one more spear, but I cleaned up the last 5 Keshiks this turn 67-68% odds for the 1st 4 fights.  Won 3, lost one.  Won a 43% shot with an archer and then cleaned up the last relined Keshik with an axe.

Spawned a GG in Random Killing which was promptly settled.





The "phony" war with Pindicator continues.  No sign of his cat/x-bow mega stack yet.  I've no idea what he's doing?  Sent him a Peace treaty but I'm expecting to see his stack emerge from the fog any turn now.....but why DOW so far in advance of an invasion?  I'm genuinely puzzled here.

The puzzling "war" with Pindicator is ended with a peace treaty. Guess I'll find out after the game what all that was about.


Superdeath sent me a white peace offer which I declined. I'm planning on taking Yuris current and former cities so peace is not an option right now.

I also ended my resource gifts of Wine and Copper to Yuris.  I would prefer to face mostly archers and chariots when I annex his last two cities.   

I'm still saving gold for my next tech.  Construction is 4t at max burn, Calendar is 5t.  I'm currently losing 60 pgt at max tech so I'll need at least 240 gold on hand before I turn on te h again. 

Construction is cheaper and let's me field cats.  Calendar gets me around 10 commerce directly and ups my happy cap by 4 once my plantations are done.  Noone has Calendar yet so I've got a decent shot at MoM.

I want Calendar next, but I may need to hit Construction first.

Either way, Calendar,  Construction, and HBR are my next 3 techs.

Then Alphabet and Currency.

For real this time? Maybe.

Made a trade connection with Pindicator this turn and sent Fish for Sheep. Securing my western borders with diplomacy makes it easier to expand in the east and settle a couple of cities up north.

I'm guessing Pin didn't go in with a stack of wellies/xbows/cats. No HBR yet for wellies? 3 people have it as of last turn, but I think only 2 did when Pindicator dowed Krill.
Superdeath is known to have it. I would be highly surprised if Krill didn't have it. So yeah, no wellies for Pin, just spears, xbows and cats. Which die horribly to cats and horchers if they get siege initiative.

Yuri and Superdeath made peace a couple of turns ago and the powergraph suggests that Superdeath has replaced the 9 Keshiks from his last invasion force.

I'm currently leaning towards teching Calendar for the commerce and happies, growing onto lighthoused coast while teching Construction and HBR then whipping out cats and wellies .
Upside is it means I have better units than spears to deal with keshiks. Downside is that I'm looking at close to 20 turns for all that at present economy.


Amphibious war elephants may make an appearance.

I've now got a trade route with Krill. Offered Wine for Gems. Nice if he takes it, but Calendar is due shortly and my happy cap is about to spike anyway.

But the extra happy right now would free up a few units that are helping take care of leftover whip anger in a couple of cities.
