Well it looks like we have to do with 2 iron. So speed is even more important.

One more camp to the southeast, which I can perhaps use for my legion push. 2 other warriors need to converge. 3 will be upgraded to legions in 11 turns.

Yeah, how could I ever defend a legion rush? Well by not building a campus, but defenses.

Check my warrior defense against Elephants back in another game.

Sigh.

Or send me a DoF so I have to decline or anything.

Another camp taken.

Builder bought another camp in range.

I scout out Holland. Ottomans offer a DoF. 30 turns will perfectly align with another push by me when I am done with Holland. I buy another builder, as I do not need 900 gold for legions.

3 turns till impact.

3 legions and 4 support warriors from all sides. Another legion in 3 turns for the city. Masonry next for a potential ram.

I am establishing two encampments to help along a GG push for target #2. At the very least I should damage them.

Turn 46

The round starts with another key tech, mil tradition which pushes the forward legion by +4 CS to +6 CS.

   

Still no declaration of war, which I would have done. Even a warrior fortified on the grassland hill would have bought 2 turns. but instead the dutch are already fleeing.

   

Both Gouda and Beemster are not on hills. Beemster is not even behind a river. Seldom I see defensive decisions been made at the city plant. All my three western cities are on hills for early defensive purposes. 

This does not bode well for the dutch. If no city walls or horseman show up, he is in trouble.

Both scouting warriors engage the dutch on the sides. 

Another warrior goes west of the lake. Another as support. The warrior who needs to heal will do so one turn and in 2 turns upgrade to legion. Beemster should be takeable.

If I need reinforcements or a ram for Gouda, that can be done after the current builds. The damage will be unrepairable anyway.

Gouda has 2! iron. I need those for further campaigns. I should strike target #2 with 9-10 legions to have any chance of damage.

No military tradition means I can get close.

Also my encampment finishes but Persia already gets GG points. Another rush in this game?
