Been playing the game, but realized this was too hard for a newbie like me, so I've just decided to withdraw. ![[Image: frown.gif]](http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif) Not sure if I'll report anything (my game really isn't interesting), and for that I'm sorry, this was Potluck after all.
I'll try an easier game next time...

Why should your game not be interesting? Some players might be scared to post reports of losses when they see so many reports of brilliant wins.
But losses are a also part of the game, and they are interesting particularly in this event, in my opinion. It would be a pity if we have >100 entries to Epic 8 and still only the usual few reports.

Hi,

Losses are often the most exciting games and more interesting to read than the "I breezed through the tech tree and killed longbows with tanks" reports. Additionally, the player reporting a loss will probably get some useful comments on what went wrong, which should considerably help improve his/her game next time.

Monarch is way above my level, and I'm still going to finish this game and I'm definitely still reporting. Especially detailed descriptions of my opening and pre-game thoughts, because it is my early game that really needs the most help.
That's one of my favorite things about the reports. The opening turnsets are so very important to how the game plays out, and they tend to have the most detail written about them. In a game like this, especially, it's worth seeing where things could have gone had I tried something differently.

I agree with the above. Definately post whether you win or lose. I'm going to read everything posted to compare with my game, particularly as something... let's say... well... I'm not going to say anything yet ![tongue tongue](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/RBOld/tongue.gif) You'll have to read my report when reporting day comes

Mind you, I'm a weird guy : I started to play Epics 3 years ago, but haven't played many overall, and often lost or withdrew. I'm unhappy with the way I play Epic games, and this very game was REALLY not interesting, but I'll report it, since everyone wants it. ![[Image: nod.gif]](http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/nod.gif) I'm perfectly aware that losses give you more experience than wins (and I believe it), but in my case, I should resume my Civ gaming with easier games. Monarch is just too hard. I need to find my learning curve, like I did for Civ3.

Fair enough. We have a series of games just for your situation, though. (You should jump in to Adventure Twelve! Or if you lack the time, wait for Adventure Fourteen and get in on that one.)

Game complete. Had a great time. No, more than that. As Sirian would say, the amount of fun I had ought to be illegal!

Hi,
game complete. Will try to put some extra care into the report, for detailed comparisons.
