I am a dedlurker, I guess. At first I was unsure whether I would be on frequently, but that seems to be the case. I am definitely unspoiled and intend to remain so.
And yes, that is a OotS-style avatar, though not of anyone in the comic itself.

Turns 1-X
T1:
Replayed exactly the same.
T2:
Cast Inspiration, moved Scout towards hut.
T3:
Able to cast Eye freely, I do.
Northside looks hot. Calender -> Crafting -> Mining -> BW and going after both Gem cities looks good to me.
Should I farm the Bananas? With Agranianism, it's the same food. With Aristo, it's 4/0/2, which is probably better than 5/0/0.
Blitz still ongoing, but I thought on that note, I should post this for now.

Overview:
The first dozen(Or 13?) turns was a mixed bag.
On one hand, we have a very lush map. We have flood plains, two food + Gems spots, Cotton, Sugar, Gold and Dye and most if not all are readily accesible.
On the other hand, we have a Combat II Spectre. Fortunately, behind 20% cultural bonus, a Warrior should get decent odds. If it does damage, I think my Adept can make a Puppet to FINISH HIM.
Assuming that they weren't lying in our friendly chat, Sel/Sal/I forgot the name sorry is having some barb rush issues, Thoth is burning stuff and Bob popped some nice stuff. Score at least seems to concur with the last one.

Right. If there's a spectre, we *definitely* need to build a couple warriors, or three. Possibly even hunt it down. In PBEM IV, a spectre got enough exp to turn into a wraith (lvl 3 summon) and basically killed Selrahcs game.
@Terrain: Looks like we've got some very nice terrain available, if a bit hammer-poor. Perhaps we should make getting slavery a priority once we have aristograrianism? That or Runes for some early cash rushing should get us the productivity we'd need to really exploit all those flood plains. In the same vein, we should proably prioritize hammers for one of our first new cities, but I can't see a place with both food resources and more than two non-jungled hills available at first look.
Re: bananas, I'd say it probably makes more sense to farm them over, unless and until we have several cities that need the health. Which isn't impossible with all the flood plains, but still.
@Selrahc/Sareln: For reference, Selrahc is in our game, Sareln isn't. It may help you tell them apart that Selrahc usually has a hippo as his avatar. Selrahc has gotten a bit of a rusher reputation, even though he has only successfully rushed in FFH PBEM I as far as I know. It has become a running joke that Sareln has been rushed in most every PBEM he has been in so far. Not helped by his usual pick of slow-starting civilizations.

Yeah, I know it's not Sareln, but for a second I couldn't remember if Selrahc's name was Selrahc or Salrahc. XD
Yeah, I've seen Wraiths before(It happened in one of my other Perpentach games ). Won't Warriors just flee due to Fear if I attack it, though?
I was thinking of holing myself in the city and letting it attack. If my Warrior doesn't kill it at 60%~ odds, then my Adept can summon a Puppet(Which I think is immune to Fear) to hopefully finish it off. Or wound it enough that other stuff can hit it w/o Fear.
Runes wouldn't be a bad idea. We popped Ancient Chants and we're heading up the Mining line anyway for Jungle chopping and Wine/Gems connection. I'm thinking grow to Size 2 before working production for Warriors, unless Floating Eye shows the Spectre heading our way, then rush out around 3-4?
The Northern Gems + Double Rice would probably be my first option for decent production + commerce, with a Gems mine + two Grassland hills(One un-Jungled)...but it's close to that stupid Spectre.
