*sigh* I really though thestick was a villager after his day 1 play, now he looks so suspicious.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.
1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.
2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.
3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.
4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.
Molach Wrote:About Pindicator's death, certainly a stroke of luck for me he was the target. I would probably have tried to lynch him today again. Also wolves did not nail baner/protector/nameseer so good result.
Thanks for playing Pindicator and good job taking a hit for the team.
I don't think molach (or anyone else) realizes how bad Pindicator's death was for the village. His ability could only be used once, but it was very powerful. It was basically a mass baner that could prevent any kills (or other actions) from being done for one night. So it would have given the village a free extra day.
Even worse, the U.N. Charter was going to be repealed day 3 regardless. So if he lived through one more night phase he would have been able to use it. Too bad for the village.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

Congrats Pindicator (and Catwalk) for your first night-kill death. I'm actually quite jealous, my goal for my next game as villager will be to get night-killed.
You should both take it as a compliment - generally wolves don't kill those they think they can get mislynched.

If i haf known i would have been able to use it on night 3is i wouldnt have tried to bluff the wolves into thinking i could stop a serdoa night kill this night! Ir maybe i would have anyway - truth is i dont have time to give this game the attention it deserves so i was hoping to save serdoa another scan by outting myself as bait.
My one regret: i kind of suspect Lewwyn and would have pushed that on day 3
well, your ability would haqve prevented serdoa from using his power (as well as any other possible village PR's) - but that is certainly a good trade for no night-kills .

Novice - I hope this will make you feel better about being busted by a seer.
It probably would have turned out better for the village (and worse for the NAP's) if Serdoa had kept quiet about his scan results for the day. I can't really say more right now w/o spoiling, but you can pm me if you don't see why and want too.

I'm not going to comment on the game although it is very interesting - it's impossible to do so without leaking information. For example, Bigger, you're confirming to us here that Serdoa is legit.

I will comment on this, though:

Get it right. It was Zakalwe's pack who did that, but yes, it screwed my pack as well.
yes I caught that too, if I was playing and not GM I would have corrected him. IIRC Zak was actually the announcer in question that sent that message.
as for the Serdoa, if he's not legit then he's just a crazy villager making up a seer role that got incredibly lucky, and I don't think there are any lurker's assuming that :P. So I don't really think I'm spoiling anything.
