[SPOILERS] Hashoosh goes for a Carribean (von Alder) Creutz

Actually I have 8 cities. I appears my ability to count is also terrible bang

Nice to see some reports and know how this game is going.

The lack of workers shows at Sparta. That city has 3 unimproved tiles worked and two sheeps and a floodplain unimproved. Maybe fix that by whipping a worker there?

Your southernmost city (the name is blocked) seems like a slow one and needs a quick border pop to hook up it's best food resource. I think I would have settled it 1S o get that into first ring. Granary is important too, I think that city would need chops to get these things faster, maybe more than the farm or the mine workers nearby are working on.

Having 2nd food and most cities is good, however don't stop expanding. I see all military or infra builds, no settlers or workers while there is still land to be claimed. Of course you might be just growing and starting those builds after that but I can't know that. I also recommend whipping those things as that way you're trading away mediocre tiles to having strong food resource tiles worked sooner.

Could you post your graphs? It would be interesting to compare each others stats.

YES TO ALL OF THIS.
Sorry but caps were necesary. I'm playing terrible, make no mistake, I know that.

First le me rant a litle bit befoe taling about the game. When I start playing this game it was suppose to be only for a month, so I assume no more of 20 turns of playing before Hashossh came back. Since this was my impresion I start by making a litte 7t plan. I didn't wanted to make big changes so I tried to stick to what Hashoosh was doing. But then two things happened.

First, people started to take forevev to play they turns. You can see how I pop in the tech thread to ask for the save because it was geeting ridiculous.
There are four other people playing this game but the save took around 4 days in betwen play session. That is just wrong. There were times that I have to waited 5 days for the save, all of this while I saw all of then playing their PB games normally. I'm not going to lied, the lack of interest piss me off a bit.
Second, Hashoosh never came back so I ended up stuck with this game.

Now as time passed I started playing more and more slopy. More play the turns asap so the save came back in the same week and less planning ahead. Which means I was playing mostly with gut felling, making stuff that seems right but nor really thinking about it.
Was this fair to the other players? Probably no. Should I give my best even though they look like they don't really care? Definitely I should, but I'm human. I really bad one, full of flaws.
To be honest I posted that update because I wanted that someone call me on the weak play. I wanted that someone tell me to put my shit together, I'm ready to to that.

Having said all this, is never too late to start over. So lets do that now, lets not wasted more time. I follow this post with a bunch of post about the game status and how it can be win.

What my opponents have done (wrong) and how can I use that to beat then senseless

Gavagai

The first thing I notices is that Gavagai didn't get any gold while everyone else did. That lost of happines must have hurt a bit.
He is in HR to solve his happines problem. He has built The Oracle. He doesn't have sailing, Alpha, Calendar or Currency.
I'm pretty sure he just research CoL which is a pity because I wanted the religion. On the other hand a prophet was born last turn and he built his shrine.
I don't have his grapsh yet, but I think he is ranked 4 in most of the categories. His position on the map is tricky. He is box in between weak dhal and strong GJ. He has some space to his back and can definitely jump to the midle island.
Gavagai is a pretty good player so I expect that he would try to settle he center island while putting some presion on Dhal.
Futhermore he been neighbour of GJ is a really good thing for me, Gavagai won't be easy to attack or block so GJ has a tough neigbour to avoid he run away wih the game.

Dhal

Dhal isn't doing well. I think he has a conflict with Gavagai early and that maybe set him back. He has very few cities. He is probably last in all categories in demos. He has ton of space to expand into, he seems to be settling towards Gavagai and ignoring his east which is awesome because I'm to his east. Dhal seems the perfect target for later in the game (much later is insane how much land there is to grab pacefully). HE is closer to Gavagai so a war between those two is posbile and it could be worrisome if Gavagi conquer Dhall not to far in the future.
To be honest I think Dhal isn't interesting in this game, I will as far as to said he isn't interesting in play CIV at least not as much as when hi started.

Ball

Ball has gone a different path, he has Calendar ( researched last turn) and a head start if he wants MoM. HE has land to expand mostly towards me. We will compete for some spots in the future but now now. He has sailing but he hasn't settle for his ivory. I expect that he do that shortly. His land is pretty danm good and he has develop pretty good. He is more closer to GJ than to me which is good all my opponents are cluster together far far away. I guess he is researching currency now. I'm not sure if I want OB probably yes as I don't want Dhal scouting me.

GJ

The leader, the top dog, The boss, The ruler, the guy that is first in score. So basically he is winning, I haven't exchange maps with him although I can't think a good reason why not. He is leading in every category. He has Stonehedge, a religion, he is in HR and OR. He got a GS and build a capital this turn which skyrocket his research. He doesn't have problems with happines which exlpain why he has the largest city on the world at size 10. HE probably is in his way to currency which he should obtain pretty soon probably 3 more turns.
He has expand well, the only thing bad for him is having less space to expand than the others. To get more land he needs a) to attack someone b) expand into the middle. I'm just hoping he won't get the MoM or things will get really hard of the rest of the world.

How I manage to screw thing over

What have I been doing? I have no clue. Doing stuff that make sense, improving resources, wasting workers moves, not buildin enough workers. Working cottages in orrder to save the economy from crashing.
I settle for the ivory, which is pretty obvious as it give me a happy resource and ITR.

I'm researching Alpha I could researching currency in the same timeframe but I want a religion any religion. I'll worship wealth if I could but I can't. With 5 religions gone I need OB to get one. Researching alpha will give me the discount when researching currency so that is nice.
The tech path is Alpha - currency - Calendar after that I'm not sure yet. I'll have to see how things have develop.
I'm somehow keeping up with others, except GJ. That is okay the way RtR works I'm not that worry to be behind in research for a while. I'll miss a bunch of first-to bonus but I prefer more land right now.

I have been expanding bad, as in I need more workers for yesterday. Being Agg is helpng with the maintance though.
So I gues everything could be resume in one sentence There is an obsecene amount of land, I need to expand faster, much faster that now.

HOW TO START A SILVER AGE

Every time you don't think in microplans punch yourself in the balls

The first thing to make plans is actually knowing where the stuff is

I forgot to take pictures for one city duh

One thing I forgot to comment: GPs. I see some GP points in Orange Pekoe. How fast could you get a GS from there with 1 or 2 scientists hired? It might be worth to start saving gold for academy if you could get it relatively soon.

Other than academy, I don't see great options for GPs right now. As the leader is spi GAs aren't needed for civic changes. Have you planned yet on when to get the first GA and what to do with it?

Yeah, at first I though about getting a GS for an academy because I think that was the idea. Now the plan is change, I'm going for a fast horizontal expansion this means the slider is going to be very low. To succesfully use an academy you nedd the oposite aproach.
No academy at least no for a while.

GA won't start any time soon, I want/nned more pop, probably in another 25-30 turns. I suppose I mostly use it to catch up in tech. I don't think I can win many (or any) first-to bonus so I letting that go in exchange for grabbing more land.

In a different topic I almost have finish the microplan for the next 10t. The good thing about the saves taking to long, is that I have a lot of time for planning.
