It looks like Ichabod is finally ready to finish me off.

I'm glad he let me finish my troll wonder first.

Building Petra for 1 tile, the ultimate trolling

So I just started the next turn and it says that Ichabod built Petra. What?

Isn't production in this game at end of turn, like Civ 4? Or does it pool everybody and then flip a coin? Either way, I just found another reason why I hate Civ V

Production happens at the start of your turn. Isn't this technically pitboss where only movement happens at different times?

If it was Pitboss then production it would be a coinflip situation. If it's PBEM -- which I thought was how Hotseat worked: PBEM but at one computer -- then production is at the end of each turn. (Or am I misremembering?)

This is all by Civ 4, so it wouldn't surprise me if 5 was the opposite of that just to be different.

Well that sucks...

I forgot about hotseat. frown

Production happens at the start of your turn. So Ichabod just won the race.

FYI it's only Civ4 BtS that production is at the end of your turn.

There are no coin flips for production in PBEM in either Civ 4 or 5. Coin flips only happen in simultaneous-turn Pitboss. PBEM or hotseat are always sequential in both games.

Civ 4 BTS produces at the end of your turn, earlier Civ 4 and all Civ 5 produce at the beginning of your next turn. The difference is that you can lose a wonder saying "1 turn remaining" in the latter but not the former.
