Are you, in fact, a pregnant lady who lives in the apartment next door to Superdeath's parents? - Commodore

ipecac waits for Civ VI RBmod

Meditation-> Priesthood-> CoL:

Pros: Cheapest beaker wise, may get my own religion + missionary, ORG courthouses (27 maintenance currently).

Cons: Meditation and Priesthood aren't all that useful.

vs.

Mathematics-> Currency:
Pros: Currency will be instant gold boost (+2 gpt per city, and ability to build wealth). Maths is huge with lots of forests left to chop.

Cons: Slower, may miss out on Confucianism.

------

I think the swing factor is that I *can* get an extra 2gpt trade route for all cities with 1-2 island cities (plus trade routes with Ruff), which should swing things to Currency. OTOH I'm not sure how many settlers I want to throw out in the next 15 turns so savings by courthouses will be unknown.

-Commodore Oracled Currency: he probably bulbed Math to do so. And now he's up by a third tech, IW.

-On Al's advice I'll be working coast to get to Currency ASAP. I'm not sure why but I have much less river-adjacent grassland than Ruff, which does suck.

I have found greenline, and plan to change my dotmap

His city is 2N1E of the sign. Originally I planned to settle at c, but now I want to plant 2N at C which grabs 5 floodplains, wheat and clams. Any thoughts?

On the Commodore front:

A couple of turns back my Skirmisher spotted his Immortal and 2 workers roading towards that chokepoint. He probably just plans to plant there but it might be a rush, so I'm still hanging my Skirmisher in that area. Also, I moved up a Spearman just in case Comm gets careless mischief

Misc notes:
-Math will finish this turn. Will chop library in 2nd city and work coast/lakes throughout the empire to get Currency asap, eta in <10 turns.
-Am currently making 22 gpt while Comm is hovering around 10-13, so economically we should be doing okay.

Quick update:

-Comm declared and captured city from greenline. First blood hammer
-greenline has a city on the island already

Nothing much to report.

Comm and greenline made peace, greenline is 2nd to currency, we're 5T from currency, we might be racing greenline to a spot to our NE.

Will aim to do a fuller report for T100.

Alhazard was right. That spot is too aggressive.

Pulled back and will found on the plains hill next turn if all goes well. However, that might mean that currency is delayed 1 more turn.

Edit: realised that I need to move the settler this turn to the plains hills, while being able to cover it only with axe + chariot. Meanwhile greenline's 2 chariots can hit that tile. So I declared war on him, and used the northern axe to block his path on 1SW of the wheat.

Alea iacta est!

This turn:

The outcome is satisfactory. Greenline was forced to plant on flatground to prevent my founding on the plains hill, meanwhile I'll just follow my backup plan and plant 1S on grasshill where the barb city was.

And I can plant one more decent city at c:
