Hitru/OH just revolted into Vassalage. I just started on Monarchy this turn. It's cool that I have to drag this out for like two more months.

Took an open borders deal and a luxury for luxury deal with Hitru this turn, which instantly gave me full foreign ICTRs in all of my cities (the Rusten deal didn't give me anything, because I haven't explored a route that would open trade routes yet). This bumped up my gold per turn by like 33% and means I don't have to worry as much about being raided by him, so I can just focus on Elkad here. Outside of that, I'm just chunking out more settlers and workers, clearing out jungles so I can get some of those sweet post-turn-100 cottages built, and waiting for a pile of knights to pepper my angus.
Took open borders from Krill this turn. I'll also be settling two new cities next turn, and I should be revolting into Hereditary Rule a turn or two after that. Things finally feel like they're starting to roll in my favor here, I just wish some of these city sites had been plausible for my first 3-4 and not post city 10.
Finished Monarchy this turn and immediately revolted into Hereditary Rule. This will clear up some whip unhappiness I've racked up and let me start growing my cities past 6-7 pop, which I desperately need to get on with. Also, I took open borders from Borsche, and pindicator just discovered my island city with a work boat. I'm gradually getting tiles cleared out and improved, losing those two workers early really, really fucked things up for me. I plan on going Code of Laws next. Somebody recently discovered Taoism, which means there's at least one player with Philosophy to go along with Hitru already having Feudalism.
Krill's currently scouting through my territory since we have open borders. I'm also scouting him, so I don't really mind. Definitely curious about what he's going to have to say about my territory after the game's over. Got a stone for rice trade from OH, so I'll have Moai online within a few turns. Also, pindicator declared war on Elkad this turn (T124) so that means more good news for me. Elkad has a significant number of archers tied up on my continent, so he'll have to consider pulling some of them back to defend (assuming this isn't just a worker snipe or something). It also means I can go ahead and finish settling the last couple cities on my continent and probably not face a heavy counterpush. Maybe I'll be able to dig myself out of this hole if I just keep my head down.
