So I left the knights in the stack because they can help protect against grens, and because they can still hit the other city from the hill tile next to the first city. I did leave 10 knights behind so that I have a bit of flexibility and they can still hit the other city as well. Scooter has that second stack coming up from the south you can see with the spy, but it's not nearly enough. By my count we're looking at 21 units that can actually kill my units. I have 124. And that requires Scooter's units to win the battles, and to win the with enough health not to be killed off in the counter. Sucks to be Scooter.

Mack wardeced fin and scooter. Fin has already accepted peace. Scooter will likely when the turn rolls. I'll do this shit by myself.

Mackoti you are a coward. I hope both you and Scooter lose and Commodore or plako wins.

I'm actually kind of hoping Scooter can stop me and take all my cities. Maybe in the 20!!!! turns (I mean seriously what the fuck) Mackoti is going to give him he can consolidate it and turn it against Mackoti. And maybe I'll be dead and free?

Good luck! You certainly wouldn't be put in the "went down easy" column with Nakor, M_H, Cheetah, Suttree.

so how many turns until scooter's capital falls?

I think I'm rooting for Plako too, but I don't see how that could happen still.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

Relax and take it easy Lewwyn - instead of laying awake thinking about the Civ problem, lay awake composing your monologue against mack when the game is over.

I think I'll just break into Adele:

There's a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch, it's bringing me out the dark
Finally I can see you crystal clear
Go 'head and sell me out and I'll lay your shit bare
See how I leave with every piece of you
Don't underestimate the things that I will do

There's a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch
And it's bringing me out the dark

The scars of your love remind me of us
They keep me thinking that we almost had it all
The scars of your love, they leave me breathless
I can't help feeling
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
And you played it, to the beat
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)

Baby, I have no story to be told
But I've heard one on you
And I'm gonna make your head burn
Think of me in the depths of your despair
Make a home down there
As mine sure won't be shared

(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
The scars of your love remind me of us
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
They keep me thinking that we almost had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
The scars of your love, they leave me breathless
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
I can't help feeling
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
And you played it, to the beat
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
We could have had it all
Rolling in the deep
You had my heart inside of your hand
But you played it, with a beating

Throw your soul through every open door (woah)
Count your blessings to find what you look for (woah)
Turn my sorrow into treasured gold (woah)
You'll pay me back in kind and reap just what you sow (woah)
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
We could have had it all
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
It all, it all, it all
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)

But you played it
You played it
You played it
You played it to the beat.

We could have had it all Mackoti, we could... have had it... all...

Seriously, it's like this song was written for this situation.

This was the turn I went past the point of no return. I could still have backed off this turn with no losses, pillaging the road behind me. But who cares at this point. Everyone want a show right?

We'll see what happens. Not going to post a pic because Scooter is going to have a better field of view. I wonder if he'll pile into Timbers or not. I mean if I were him I'd hit and try to move the units away sacrificing timbers.

Maybe I should keep the city, rest up and upgrade some units inside the city's culture. I have 15 more units coming up from the south... I have options. A dying man always has options.

Man. This is fun. Poor Scooter. I understand what he was trying to do with his cannons, but honestly if I were him I would have abandoned the city and waited until I was off the hill. I mean seriously. Why would you hit my units on a hill and then stuff the city full of delicious units for me to kill?

"Please Lewwyn, kill all of my units! I know they are highly promoted, more advanced and extremely valuable units, but let me sit them in this city for you to kill!"

I got 25 of the suckers. My estimate about the number of units he could bring to kill (21) was off by a few, but he still only killed 21 units on the initial attack. It was unfortunate that several were knights. However, now all scooter has is knights and I have rifles and pikes on a hill... Good luck with that Scooter.

BTW I have experience with stacks like this. If you remember PB6 I had 236 units in a stack in the city. They came at me same as Scooter with even more units and barely scratched most of the units. That's why I scrapped everything together that I could for this. Cats soak up collateral, CKN soak up collateral, warriors and scouts and axemen soak up collateral.

He should have abandoned the city. He should have waited for me to move to flat ground.

So to recap, last turn he killed 21 of my units. This turn I bombarded his defenses with cats, sacced a few cats and CKN into his city, killed everything with minimal losses (he did win a few 90% battles), and opened up some great strategic routes to his capital which is defended by a single archer. Hallelujah.

I lost 16 units attacking him to kill his 25. I moved the scout and a couple of knights away so that the scout can become a GG medic. (My error for not doing that earlier) I left my stack on the same hill to heal for one turn. I hope scooter attacks it with his knights. He'll be able to flank cats, but I'm not as worried about that.

I have 82 units left in my stack:

Half of those will get a turn of healing after Scooter plays.

You can see here, razing that city was wonderful. I opened up a path straight to the capital. Next turn I'll move everything to the hill (in my territory so faster healing and I can upgrade units to rifles). I have the knights that are in that stack and 11 knights to the south that can move to this tile next turn. I have 3 more knights I moved out of the stack in order to keep them from defending against Scooter's possible attack. The others did not have enough movement points or were too injured to justify moving. Additionally I have 5 rifles (one built eot) in Bacon wrap that can move to that tile +2 more misc ones and a stack of 13 units on the copper there.

Scooter has like 20 knights and 3 gren and no cannon in range. hammer

Basically I'm hoping Scooter attacks. He will lose lots of knights, I will lose lots of units and lose lots of cats to flank, but he will have less knights (and less healthy ones to chase my knights going for his capital.) I have pikes and rifles on a hill. I'm betting he decides not to attack, but then again I thought he'd wait to attack my stack when it was on flat land.

One thing I tried to get my 1 worker in range to road that tile by swapping to serfdom... Didn't work. Oh well I have 4 workers to road it next turn.

I will only log in as Ender when I'm closer to his cap with my knights. I don't want to tip him off.

Commodore asked for my maps. Hopefully he will attack Scooter when he sees this.

I moved everything onto the hill. I'm thinking I will rest 1 turn. I have a GGMedic in stack now so it's worth IMO. Then I'll move the whole stack towards his capital. I don't want to take chances. I'm thinking I'll leave about 7 rifles the 11 knights and 5-6 CKN behind so that he can't just run his 20 knights into my land.

Then after I raze his cap I'll go north and "liberate" a few cities for Commodore on Scooter's border.

My only fear is that Azza will come attack me and take out my cities that are producing so much gold that supports my stack. Which BTW is back up over 100 units. wink
