Lewwyn and HAK seem to be trading off playing turns. Since HAK took this turn it's possible that Lewwyn hasn't seen the message yet. But if we don't have a response by the time we're up again it'd be best to research construction. Then we can build a catapult, move it over to their border, and then re-send a message proposing an NAP

We're up ... Did you see Lewwyn's post in the tech thread? He's pretty much suggesting we call the game. I personally wouldn't mind. Let's face it, we have no hope of coming out on top. I am optimistic about our chances to overtake someone (probably M3) as long as we can avoid invasion until we are ready to take the offensive, but there's no way we can catch up to Trolls. I won't post anything in the forum yet, but I think something like ...

Posted the message in the tech thread. First priority is probably get out of last place in at least one major demographic. Agree that we have no shot of winning, and that 'not last' is a pretty difficult goal at the moment.

Turn played, chops come into Maracaibo next turn. We actually only need one chop to complete the Library, so I'll only complete one then leave the other Forest prechopped for the eventual Courthouse or something. I queued up a Barracks in San Juan; it's our best hammer city.

Well. Would you like to dogpile Trolls? My NAP with Trolls ends T140. If you do, we should sign a NAP that extends beyond T140. But I'll only sign a NAP with you if you actually agree to go to full fledged war with the Trolls.

I don't think we should take it. It's not in our best interest to engage in "full fledged war" against a team that's out of our wphere on influence (too far away to integrate an gains). I'd rather just continue our soft peace.

This leaves it open for them to counter (not sure what they'd offer to give us, but might as well leave a window open).

Okay, Tasunke took over TEAM, and he offered us a Sugar for Wines trade. I accepted, without realizing that it benefits him but not us (He has 2 Sugars, we only have 1 Wine. He gets +1 happy while we get no bonus). Should we ask him for some money in exchange for his free happy?

I think we should start building Wealth; we don't really need more Quechuas yet nor more whipping, what we need is growth. I think we should whip a Worker in Havana; it won't whip away any of the cottages and will solve the cottage problem.

PM message to Tasunke is a good idea, and yours looks fine. Maybe add:

We proposed an NAP to Lewwyn recently. We understand that you may need a couple turns to asses the situation after joining mid-game, but the offer of an NAP still stands.

Sent. Couple last things, Trolls has a Chariot that can one-turn Melaka; we'll need to move a Spear there. We should probably move a couple of Quechuas there in the meantime. TEAM is researching Horseback Riding; seems they're preparing for war too.
