Sent off message to M3 asking if they still want an NAP until T160.

M3 already agreed to T150 NAP.
I took a look around in game and everything looks in order. I didn't change anything.

Oops, I meant TEAM. We're not last in GNP at 0%, horray!

Another boring turn. Things are easy when you don't have to check every city to see if it can be whipped. New York will be settled next turn. At the rate things are going, it looks like we'll be third or fourth to Civil Service, roughly tying with TEAM.
Trolls kicked off a Golden Age. Taoism was founded in a distant land (probably them). It is 200 AD.
Received a message from TEAM:
Quote:One thing I must add of course. I would like to add a clause, hopefully acceptable by you, that after t135 there is no right of passage. Would this be acceptable?
Seems acceptable.

Yeah, no right of passage is ok. Just send our exploring unit and maybe another from Maracaibo to finish scouting out the TEAM northeast before the RoP expires.

The only scouting unit we have is our Work Boat; I sent a Quechua to scout a bit.
New York was founded:
We should start chopping those Forests into a Terrace/Forge/Courthouse.
The Great Scientist from Havana is coming nicely (this is EOT, so it'll pop T128):
In foreign news, TEAM is researching Iron Working, so we should beat them to Civil Service. Civil Service comes in T130, so we swap back to Slavery then and start whipping Forges.
What should our next tech be? Ordinarily I'd say Calendar, but we're swimming in happiness ATM; our main limiting factor is food. Options I see are Sailing, Horseback Riding, Machinery, or Feudalism; we've hit the major economic stuff, might as well get the military stuff. Of those, Horseback Riding looks good.
We could possibly farmer's gambit our way up Paper-Education, but that's probably too deep of a beeline (Education with no HBR?!?).
In dipo news, we should renegotiate our Wines for Sugar trade with TEAM so that we get GPT from them.

Another easy turn. The biggest news was that I realized that the Trolls have Alphabet. They have Civil Service and Paper already, and due to their Philosophy bulb, are almost definitely gunning for Liberalism. Lewwyn was right, they're running away with this.
Also, it might be useful to pick up Alphabet just to see if M3 has Construction yet.

Civil Service in two turns. I'm preparing to chop Santiago's last forests into its Forge, similar story in Melaka. Starting to run out of cottages to work. Note to self: swap Barbados to a Forge, so it can be whipped T130.
Something I find funny: Hindu is the only state religion in the world. M3, us, and Trolls are Hindu, while Gillette and TEAM are atheist. Crusade to reclaim Tortuga at some unknown point in the future?

I've had an evil scheme to reclaim Tortuga for a long time! I didn't make mention of it before because my past advice has been rather hot-headed, but maybe I'll go ahead and lay my evil plan before you. Do you have any idea when Talking Parrot will expand to 4th ring culture borders? Because if we can catch it while it's still at 3rd ring we might be able to take it almost by surprise with a bit of pre-planning.

I checked in game. Talking Parrot is already at 4th ring. I'm afraid this means there's no alternative except to bust through the front door. UNLESS artist bombing is allowed, in which case we could conduct the most epic invasion in the history of Civ 4. Is artist bombing allowed?
NOTE: we're at or near the health cap. We have unconnected Sheep near San Juan that will help. A WB for the fish to the west of Barbados would net us another health.
I think the forest on the furs at Maracaibo should go. That will most certainly bet the point of invasion from TEAM if they ever declare war, and we don't want to leave them that cover right next to our city.
Keep exploring with the Quechua in TEAM's territory as long as possible. Move it on T35 and then delete it.
