Superdeath has a punderful time

I really want to not login to this pitboss and be continuously pissed off lol. Barb galley showing up at a BAD fucking time to probably burn all my nets and then be free exp to a Lewwyn galley. And then everytime i look at the scoreboard and wonder WHERE is all this land for their cities. I know most of it isnt islands because the map i have uncovered has shown that everyone else got alot more land to expand into than i. Plus, it looks like not a super close neighbor with all of your strategics but copper, 1 tile closer to you than your neighbor. God i love this game.

I promise not to be an easy meal for the Noble/Gaspar/Lewwyn dream team. I must uphold my reputation of being hard to digest.

a new turn has begun. It is now 100 BC

Lewwyn logged out

Staying 4min past turn roll is ridiculous in my opinion. Ill be waiting for him to play as i want to claim 2nd half. If he logged out after that turn rolled within a comfortable amount of time i wouldnt be whining about it, and would have to settle for the 1st half. But.... yeah, he most likely jotted down everything that popped EOT or made signs or SOMETHING. You dont end turn during a supposed turn split and then sit around... you logout.

So, ill be waiting till the turn is close to rolling before playing. 4hrs from now... rolleye

Never thought i would have to do something like this just to secure the 2nd half. But oh, hey! i logged out RIGHT AT THE TURN ROLL. Huh! Wasnt that easy.

He had plenty of time today to play. I will be declaring this following turn on the 2nd half which is why i didnt declare this turn. He hasnt moved any units into threatening positions, and wants to hog the 2nd half. i will not entertain the idea of reloading if that magically comes up. He can play the first half this next turn or i can do this again and then declare. Upto them.

On a more positive note, i think i can get to Pikes in a decent chunk of time, providing Jowy doesnt declare and kill my trade routes to half of the world...

Not calling him stupid, calling him full of shit. Plus, it looks like Civic played his turn... so i hope there was combat during that turn.

Im going to avoid going into the tech thread to argue/ask why he stayed past the end of the turn for several minutes but couldnt magically do this turn. If he had declared and not sent a PM that would be one thing. He has had multiple turns to declare WITH the 2nd half of the timer. Im taking the 2nd half, and declaring next turn because thats simply in the spirit of the game. Cant hog one side of the turn timer and NOT declare war, just seems stupid to me.

Im headed to bed in the next.. hr or so. Ill check back here between now and then otherwise it will be about 18hrs before i can play the turn again.

To clarify as i head to bed: Im willing to accept having to redo my turn and then have them do their turn after, so long as they actually declare war and also not wait 5min+ after a turn roll to finally logout. Otherwise, i see two other options, they eat the turn that they could have played earlier. OR we reload to Amicalola's end turn and they can play and i can redo my turn.

I plan on continuing this pitboss regardless of decision, and while holding the 2nd half of the turn for turn after turn after turn seems rather shitty to me when not AT war, i dont hold a grudge against them for it. Its the most competitive-way of doing things, but not imo, the right way. Goodnights!

We will be reloading to your login in T111 shortly. I have to ask you to play your turn before Lewwyn and try to replay it like last time. We ask you to declare war against Lewwyn taking the first half.

As for our reasoning for this decision. We believe that you were already aware of playing in a turn split with Lewwyn for the last turns according to rule #6 of the pitboss etiquette. According to rule #3 you also should have established the second half in T110. The fact that you waited intentionally till the end of the turn and let it role is also deemed bad sportsmanship. As for what you could have done better. You could have paused before the turn timer ends and have asked for feedback from the lurkers. We then could have tried to find a better solution for everybody. We also do realize that Lewwyn/Noble is not without blame here either and rest assured that we will let him know about that.

Lastly I also have to address this, because you have a special role in this PB. We recognize that you have shown good sportsmanship in all of your PBs so far and we appreciate your good service as PB admin in all those games. You are always there to add time, pause games or do reloads if necessary and we do thank you for that. The problem here is that because you are an admin you have a higher responsibility, as you could have easily paused the game or added time, but you didn't. We do appreciate your service as I have stated before, but we ask you to act more responsibly within your role as a PB admin.

Im only aware of such a turn split when i went to try and declare war and take the 2nd half, without double moving. I also became aware when i saw he logged out after the turn roll without playing but that took him 5 whole minutes..

I waited till the end of the turn to prove a point, Lewwyn and company ( will be lewwyn the rest of this paragraph ) played the previous turn, DIDNT DECLARE WAR or PM me otherwise, and just decided all their own that they were going to have the 2nd half. While i could have paused, do you believe that Lewwyn would have been forced to play before me had i not done this? Unlikely.

I further didnt add time/pause ect because lately ( see pb48 ) ive been told by several people that unless they ASK i shouldnt add time, so that people well... Learn. IMO, peacetime turnsplits shouldnt last longer than 2-3t at absolute max, and either ends with a city being planted or a war declaration, or units being moved away ect. How much longer would Lewwyn be waiting to actually declare the war? Had i logged in with 5min left on the clock and seen that he had declared on me, i would have added plenty of time for him to play. He is being a competitive prick by claiming the 2nd half and not doing anything with it other than preventing me from getting it.

The lurkers have decided, and i dont have to like it, but i will play the turn to the best of my memory and declare on them. Thankfully, im just strong enough and they arent far enough ahead that i CAN and will prevent them from winning this pitboss, even though Rome looks to be the clear winner soon enough anyway. Also, Jowy is the best thing to happen to this pb and has made me double-over with laughter for the first time in a good solid week.

Lewwyn also declared on Amicalola and killed their chariot they had scouting. So uh, im going to assume that he sent him a peace treaty in hopes that he can somehow conquer me in under 10t? Even knights would be hard pressed to do that right now.

Jowy... man. Who needs comedians when entertainment comes right to the tech thread? popcorn

Lewwyn has a decent # of WE's and about 3-4 cats ready to move next to my north city next to his gold. In response i could try and stack v stack him, which from what ive seen i WOULD win unless he has a ton of units in reserve. Otherwise, i can possibly take back the horse city. Decisions..
