I dont believe i have gotten a single quest/event. Pretty much forgot they were on.
Feel free to ask.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Are we taking Gav's comment as consensus? If so, kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinda sucks that i have 1 spy already finished lol. Oh well, not like my chances went any farther down.

Deleted the spy, because Gavagai sent open borders. Followed by Fish/fish, followed by Naufragar sending a request for war vs Gavagai with 2 luxuries thrown in. Ugh. Accepted the open borders, didnt send fish/fish back.. Sent Naufragar something along the lines of "give me 11 turns, i want to make sure this is REAL so i dont get smacked like Ginger did me"
Got construction, so building WE's + cats, and ive already got a pretty fair sized stack of Numids.. So, i think once i get a 5/5 split of WE's and catapults i can march on and take Gavagai's mids and hindu holy city and hold it against basically anything he can throw for a long time. I need to get eyes on whats going on between Naufragar and Gavagai. Didnt think they would have much border conflict. This could all be nicely timed for me with Ginger going on a mini-vacation from the PB.

You got the Great Wall model to appear on the map when you built it, cool!
141 turns on, how do you feel about your choice to move your starting settler way back at the beginning?

yep, had to roll the turn to get that
It was probably a bad choice to move, but i dont believe for one second that it significantly changed the outcome of this PB. I would have ended up getting some/a city on what looks like another landmass? But i would have lost out on my current best/HORSE city that Gav would have stolen/got.. So................. Yeah.

Just curious. I see a lot of mines in your territory. Did you rely heavily on build wealth/build research?

When i first got Alphabet to get to Currency yes, and in spurts ive used it. But atm, with people nearing knights and myself not being able to tech all that well regardless of wealth/research builds, ive decided on war. WE's/cat's/Numids. Providing Amica doesnt pussy out, ill be joining soonish.

Amica dipped out, because of course. I gave him MULTIPLE signals that he needed to show at least SOME initiative before i would just throw my army into the meat grinder. Well, i decided i needed to go now while the HA were away, and the axe/everything stack was also multiple turns away. I expect High losses from attack the mids city, and if i lose most of the stack i might just raze it. Id prefer not to, and have the rest of my units heading down there. Im confident that so long as i dont get horrible rolls, i should be able to take on the city. Im not gonna get nearly as good of rolls as i thought i would, however which is disheartening. Forgot to check if Gavagai was in Slavery or not, but if he isnt i could probably still just wait on my catapults to bring that city down. His HA's are 4t from being able to actually reinforce the city/attack whatever is attacking it so i feel pretty safe. I also sent Gavagai a PM as ive seen him log in after Nauf DURING THIS WAR... which i will not be happy in the tech thread if that happens to me.
I think myself and Nauf can wear down Gavagai, without Amica's help and Nauf is supplying me with luxuries so im feeling alot better about our war-friendship than the greedy-ness of Amica/Ginger in these kinds of wars.
Im also planting my final city in 2ish turns. Took me awhile because well, after seeing my land and the fact that Gavagai blocks basically ANY expansion path worth a fuck.. I wasnt feeling too optimistic about this PB. I apologize dear lurkers. Ill try and do better in the future.

Everything is headed my way. To be expected, but still saddens me. I lost 8 numids, and a TON of my numids withdrew.. I won some fights, and lost some fights. I used a convenient GG spawn to give my stack of axes/spears an extra promo or two, along with one spear getting Morale so that i could cover the captured city. I was VERY close to just razing it and sitting back, but i want at least some shot of a fun game with how the rest of this shit has gone. I will have 5t till the axe stack/cat stack can hit me, and 3t till the HA's can hit me. So roughly 4t of healing.. Ill be able to cover the city with everything i have in theater before the HA arrive, and should have a decent chance of holding. I might send out attack stacks of 2-3 numids to raze his capital and another city if i feel comfortable enough. I really hope that War elephant suicides against the city.
