Sadly CMF either did not get my message or was not able to save my Warrior, I am down to 0 units in the theatre but at least managed to kill Ginger'S tribal unit. Next turn I will get my next Warrior in Agoge and I had to change my capital back to a Warrior again as well, as Bruindane is now also blocking my city site with his scout and I urgently need the 3rd unit for defense.

The bad news is that Ginger is already up to 5 cities, so slowing down bruindane did not slow him down much. I had to leave the city site as my scout will not be able to hold it much longer, but your scout can hopefully continue to block it for 1-2 turns.

This will be an uphill battle with Ginger developing this quickly, it is a shame I was caught off guard with the stun expiration and the teammate using the units mechanic, as I basically threw away my military presence for delaying the settle of this city site for 4 turns.

I wasn't sure how to save your warrior with my units, tbh. I can use your units and give them orders? Every time I log in, the interface feels overwhelming! I didn't realize how much of Civ I took for granted.

Here's my latest:

Slavery is in and I start Trapping, while putting my two new cities on warriors now that the workers are out. I also notice in the screenshot that my second city finished its miner build and went straight back to the militia now - oh, well.

Successfully clear my northern city-site:

Will have a settler here in a turn or two.

I also block one site near Bruindane, belatedly cottoning on to what Kaiser wants.

As I wrote on discord, I think we might already be quite on the backfoot and you will need to support me earlier than later. This city site is as far away from me as possible

I think it might be better for you to try to claim this site instead, you can hire some tribals to help you with it if the legitimacy cost is not to high. Careful, Bruindane is now allied with the scythians and can control their units with his orders as well as settle on their sites without having to clear them (cost a big chunk of money though).
I assume he is beelining for the central location currently held by the scythians.

I will be with 3 Warriors in 3 turns, but they need to defend and I will need an additional one to get my city site freed up. Loosing my Warrior and Slinger was a big blow, sadly we did not yet have our discord communication going so there was communication issues.

I try to stabilize but will be more defending for quite some time as Ginger and Bruindane have military here (at least 5 units)

At least I managed to get serfdom, but I am this low on units that I can barely use all of these orders at the moment, a somewhat wasted start with being overly aggressive, sorry for that misplay

640 wood in Year 21? What is this wizardry? neenerneener

Also CMF, I can get that it might be a bit overwhelming, but hope you are able to dig in and enjoy, there's a lot of game here.

That has been me chopping a path to the forward settle with early game spare orders and now I have also spare orders at hand as I lost my 4 units.
I agree that there are better uses for orders than stacking up wood, I just do not have them at hand yet

Here they come, there is somewhere in the forest Bruindane's leadergeneral and possibly also another scythian tribal horsearcher.

They are coming in force, I aim for better units myself with Chariots as my next tech, but I will need support. I marked another Scythian Horsearcher near Bastions, please hire this guy to help me down here and deny the unit to Bruindane or Ginger. When hired bring it into my territory and upgrade it so it becomes a strength 4 unit.

I will continue cranking out Warriors, but this will be a diffcult hold.

I purchased two more mercenaries, including the one you tagged, and am sending them that direction.

At home, building a stonecutter? and sending out another settler.

I can need any help available.

They are already at my gates. I was able to one-shot a scythian horse archer with a crit from my leadergeneral and can bring two more warriors in next turn. But Bruindane is bringing carthage's strength to the table with 2 more tribal units on top of his standing military of two warriors and 1 slinger.

My relief forces are not strong enough to really attack here, it might be the better play to fall back and defend around our other sites, but we are already on the backfoot here and the mid-line city was the only advantage we had gained so far.

In the meantime, Ginger is already building his first barracks and started to build the Isthar gate, I expect him to settle 1-2 more cities before its completion, this might bring them over the threshold for a double victory, especially if we loose the city.
They are currently at 13/73 points, for a double victory they need 37 points and more than 2 times our points. With 2 developed cities and Bruindane controlling 1 developed and 3 weak cities in total, Ginger has to be sitting on 4 weak cities (an his developed capital).
Each city development stage is worth 1 VP, the wonder itself is worth 2 VP.

I believe the Ishtar gate will only work on the building player, not the team-mate so we have to assume a minimum of 6 points increase, +2 for every city Ginger manages to put down before completion of the ishtar gate. That brings them to 19+/73, ginger would need to settle another 7 cities before finishing the gate which is quite unlikely.
However it still will be their win condition, as they are winning the war in the S and every city I loose here is a 2 point swing in their favor (delayed by ~3 turns), even 4 for my capital as it is already developed.

That is a tough blow, my leader was blinded at is now blind and not able to bring his ability any more to the table, not that we weren't already on the backfoot.

I continue cranking out units and save the Warrior from Agoge, there is no way to hold onto the city. Even with my current three Warriors it will be very difficult to hold any further advances. Not that they need to, they can just sit and outdevelop us as well, but the game will be quicker if they conquer me.

Agoge is gone, I was too optimistic with my Warrior placement and lost my Hunter Warrior anyways. My Warriors should be safe for the moment as his Warriros cannot reach me. There was another Scythian Archer somwhere which could be nasty.
