I believe that AI-Diplo was chosen; which means all diplo is done through the trade screens in-game.
However Charriu modded in an option to send the same diplo offers to players that you can to AI's: Declare war on X, Stop trading with X, Revolt into civic/religion, which makes it much easier to communicate.

Yeah, AI diplo is sort of the default. There are a few more true AI diplo options available as Tarkeel pointed out. And yes, I’ve been told the turn order is adjustable as I considered it in PB70, though I haven’t seen it actually done yet. I know it’s not trivial so it shouldn’t be done lightly, but it’s probably doable if needed it sounds like.
Appears our GMT-ordered play windows look like this:
Cairo 0100-0500
Oxy: 0900-1600
Luddite: 1300-1700
Yuris: 1300-100
Scooter: 2300-300
If that’s true, I believe we can generate a turn order and therefore a pick order. Although I’m slightly concerned that Cairo seems to not be aware that the bulk of this will be played sequentially, so I’d like to be certain he’s still in with this arrangement.
If/when he confirms all good, a lurker can roll the a dice and determine who is first in the turn order and therefore how the draft order shakes out. A reminder that given a 12345 turn order, the draft is 54321123455432112345.

Oh yeah, I did misunderstand, but that's ok, I'm still interested, but I would like a dedlurker who can jump in and play my turns if necessary.
