greenline wishes he was playing civ 6 still

this is not the most impressive invasion force i have built in a pitboss

Counting on ginger to do the heavy lifting here.

going to declare on Dreylin next turn. any LURKER INSIGHT ™ for what half of the turn split i should be aiming for?

Ideally you would take the same half of the timer as Ginger, and then establish a consistent playing order within that half (this issue recently came up in the PB74 tech thread), but depending on timezones and playing windows that might not be possible without extending the timer.

the die is cast.

played before dreylin this turn since he played after me last turn, and ginger is playing before him according to pbspy.

Dreylin did what I was afraid of, threw a bunch of his forces at mine instead of hitting Ginger's stack at all. I lost all my maces, used my cats to try and counter hit his attacking stat. Lost two 90% battles of course. So I will get nothing out of this invasion and Ginger will get all the spoils. Tempted to try and attrit most of Dreylin out of spite at this point. I was willing to settle with just one city for peace...

Silver linings / copium from the failed invasion:

5 horse archers survived. Most of the losses were macemen (built because I had nothing better available) and catapults, which are ultimately disposable and replaceable. The horse archers I can at least upgrade. I also got a GG i will probably use on a super healer just to unlock heroic epic.

Despite being at war with Dreylin for an extra turn, having way more power, Ginger has yet to kill a single Dreylin unit or capture a city. Was this all an epic bait to get me to waste my army invading Dreylin????

I'm going to build forges in most of my cities now.

I just realized that due to noscore being on, Ginger might be walking into a bunch of empty cities, and I wouldn't know the difference...

yes, let me run my extremely meagre military force all the way through your land, to fight the guy i was trying to split a neighbor with, who ljubjana isn't even bothering to fight himself. that makes sense.

i went back and checked, it seemed like ginger had 14 cities prior to the war. so he would have gained 2 so far. dreylin also took a smallish bump in power. if i build up a lot of knights in the meantime i might manage to vulture some of the dreylin land that doesn't fall in however long the conquest takes.
