Always hilarious when a player harms another and then complains they won't deescalate.
I give Thrawn a lot of slack given its his first civ4 game (a forum first?), the barb luck, and a cracking name, but that right there is a tale as old as time.

Ok, I'm super confused. What is the point of Firma?
Is it just "I've already pissed him off and given up on expanding into my own territory so why not double down?"
Oh why is Morrig also settled for resource that really shouldn't have gone to him. At this point not sure why not just go settle the 4 resources west of that and have done with it.

He's only thinking about the short-term tactical situation. Those aren't about long-term productivity.

I'm generally surprised by his lack of interest in recapturing his former capital.

All in good time. Reclaiming the homeworld from the Zerg barbarians is the opening scene of act 3, after all.
Just curious, after the held barbs activate in another ~35 turns, will that be the last of the surprises from the map?

Yeah can't think of anything else super noteworthy. I am curious how all the forts will impact the mid game, if at all. I did my best to connect every single body of water via forts. Some forts were auto generated by the script, but I obviously hand placed a lot to connect bodies of water.
Wanted to comment on the Megaton city flip since Dreylin commented on it. What's interesting here is that this one was somewhat surprising to me and IMO was pretty fortunate for Superdeath, and likely would not have happened without an assist from Magic Science. It's T68, and in my tests this city completed a Monument prior to this turn consistently and was therefore too late to flip it. However, Magic Science settled up on it, resulting in him stealing the Fish/Gold tiles away. This slowed the city down in building a Worker and prevented it from using the Gold mine production towards a Monument. Also SD stealing the other Fish quickly had an effect
On top of all of that, this is a 3rd ring flip from Superdeath. I don't know when he settled the city, but on T48 he had not settled it yet nor did he have a settler anywhere in range. This means he flipped it in what, like 30 turns? I assume he added some other culture to it to speed it up, and then he got extremely lucky with the ~5-10% dice roll coming up almost immediately. Basically this city flipping is a pretty big surprise. I wonder if Magic Science would consider trying to take it himself now that the longbows are gone - SD has no real military.

I'm not sure Firma is even smart in the short term strategic as it just lengthens the front line he has to defend.
@Scooter. Are you sure there are no attack subs with nukes on them held for a bit? And ya I'm still not sold on how good those barb cities are. I already would have been on creative, and they gave huge payoff for that trait. Love everything else about this map mind.

What's the cost of a longbow upgrade?

Should be 95, the formula is 20 + 3x the hammer differential, which is going from 25 to 50.
