Ichabod Wrote:Not at all, it doesn't. First, because you can vote by feel and be a villager. Second, because wolves always vote with arguments, except when there are none to be made (which is rare).

Weird, and I thought presenting arguments and evidence is how this game is played as a villager but appearantly acting on gut feel and flawed logic is how its done. Learn something new every day.

uberfish Wrote:Long explanation since serdoa is apparently confused

wolves know how many night kills there are

catwalk doesn't know how many night kills there are

I don't think catwalk would have thought of faking it if he was a wolf

therefore catwalk is village

Could I be mistaken? Sure. But I don't want to just let people park votes on an easy target. That gives wolves an easy time.

I am not confused, thank you uberfish. You might want to try to attack my arguments instead of me, but anyway, I understood your argument the first time. It just doesn't make sense for me because it boils down to "a wolf (catwalk) would not do that". And as catwalk and I pointed out, even if he would not think about it, there is no reason why another wolf shouldn't tell him too.

As for the second part of your post, I can understand that thinking. But I think in that case waiting to see who would take the easy vote would have been more helpful. Anyway, I guess we can agree that we disagree how to play in this situation.

Did I just say that? yikes

Arguments are overrated, in my opinion. smoke

Well, I can see it both ways. It seems that later in the game you're going to have the evidence of people's posts and actions to be able to refer to when you post arguments. But on the first day unless someone says something that just gives themself away you really don't have anything to go on. Yet you don't get to see any evidence without voting people, so you're voting on feel. (I'm starting to get fascinated by the concept of how WW works; why had I never heard of this game before this site?)

So... for the first round I think people who have played together have a bit of a leg up on other people because they have established a common history and a feel for how each other play. Which means I need to follow my gut and change my vote to pling.

I think I'll vote Ichabod for now. (worked once for village, might as well work again tongue)

But I must say that I am a bit suspicious of Uberfish. (its always the butler/ex-gamehost whodunit)

Why should they know that?

Your town tell for Catwalk rests on post 31, right? I agree that post makes Catwalk look pretty good if it turns out that there are in fact multiple wolf factions with alternating kills. If there is another setup, such as just one wolf faction, then Catwalk's inability to comprehend an alternating kill system doesn't prove much. Or did I miss your point?

Either way, regardless of the above, I'm definitely leaning innocent on Catwalk so far. I also imagine Serdoa remains frustrated with WW7, where the villagers were too eager to declare town tells, and also allowed the wolves to keep "clearing" each other. So I don't think Serdoa's attack on Uberfish is particularly out of character. Ichabod and Novice going after Serdoa is slightly more puzzling.

Looking back at the tally, the Catwalk voters look shady to me, and as mentioned I don't see the case against Serdoa, either. So I'll go with Mr. Nice Guy, for trying to discredit my UFO discovery.

[b]molach, just a gentle nudge to get him involved smile.

I don't really think Catwalk is wolf, so I'm removing my vote before my flight starts. I'll be on about 1am EDT (Florida time) to reexamine, possibly cast a more permanent vote.

This is clearly the most high-profile statement of the game thus far. I agree with uberfish's reasoning, and agree that Catwalk reads more village than wolf thus far. But to just throw it out there like that... it just doesn't sit well with me. This makes uberfish the best target out there thus far, I think. I'll re-read the rest of his posts and see if anything sticks out as wolfish/villagerish. For now I'm content parking my vote on the most suspicious looking target, especially since the joke-vote phase of the game is over.
You can get a look at a t-bone by looking up the bulls ass but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it.

From past experience, uberfish is stubborn to a fault when confronted with accusations that he's made a weird/bad village play (from the game where he joke claimed wolf and hung for it). So his insistence that he didn't do anything weird or bad here is in character.

Bigger, did you seriously say that we should lynch someone the wolves don't consider a threat? And that's supposed to make night-time kill decisions harder? I didn't read the first post as glib, nor the second one. I think you're making wildly conflicting statements here. Whether you're wolf or village, that doesn't benefit you. Please pick a story and try to stick with it lol
